1st of all I want to say that I am very pleased with the Texan's organization. It seems that they are making the right decisions. I am very excited about our running game this year and I am very confident that the Gibbs system along with the personel will be successful this year. This is the ZBS that I have been waiting for. We have been told that we were running the ZBS in the past but with Sherman here I believe it was more of a hybrid of several systems. I think zoning (no pun intended) in on one system will be beneficial.

Having said all of that, I know Gibbs has been successful where ever he has been. How much of Atlanta's rush yards per game were attributed to Vick? Where would Atlanta have ranked w/o counting all of Vick's yardage from scrambling.

Please don't take this as me nit picking and looking for faults with Gibbs. I love the guy and I am very happy that he is here. I think he will add some nastiness to our O-Line.

One thing I forgot to ask. How does the ZBS relate to pass blocking? Is it different from other systems?

hey I think Warrick Dunn had back to back 1500 yard seasons maybe 1700 and 1400 but 1500 avg. That is awesome for a typical 1000 yard guy.

Just checked they were not that good 1400 was his high but a 5.1 avg is not shabby

Look at Warrick's stats in the past two seasons...they released him...so is it his age or was it scheme...me thinks the latter

Gibbs will have the OL eating nails by years end. He takes no BS and if you don't perform, you sit.

He has little with the pass game. As someone said he will do alot of RB chipping DE's and such. And getting a RB or FB open in the flat for dump offs under pressure. But, his main concern is the RB/TE and OL...and running the ball.

And yes, Dunn had great years under Gibbs, but was cut I belive due to age. But in 3yrs with Gibbs...Dunn had 1000yrds atleast every year. Seeing we have really NEVER had that(DD/W had close or at 1K one year). I'll take that 1000yards and add it to our passing #'s and we should be looking at playoffs.

2, almost 3...but still if we get 1K a year with the players we have now...

Here is DD/W's stats(yahoo sports):

YEAR TEAM G ATT YDS AVG LNG TD FD FUM LOST
2003 HOU 14 238 1031 4.3 51 8 47 2 2
2004 HOU 15 302 1188 3.9 44 13 56 2 2
2005 HOU 11 230 976 4.2 44 2 39 1 1
Career 40 770 3195 4.1 51 23 142 5 5

So, he did that with AJ just coming in, and nobody else really around. So, ok, 1200-1500 yards with Gibbs system in place. Plus our weapons now.
