Following that was a statement by Adam S. saying Mario Williams was the best DE in the league. That's what I love about that guy. He's fair and he tracks each team evenly. I bet you he knows about Mario being "on a whole other level".

I like the NFL network. It isn't so biased like ESPN. That was a good interview.

I like NFL network but did anybody see what Faulk was saying about us not being the toughest devision. He was really pissing me off how he was saying we have no to run the ball and he was just clowning us the whole time. Itleast Adam Schefner was sticking up for us. Did any one else see it?

Yeah, I watched that and he also wanted to know who was going to be running the ball for us and Adam said we had a deep backfield and said Ahman would start and Brown would be giving him breathers with the addition of Gibbs we would have a very solid running game. Then Faulk had the nerve to say "Green and Brown, those guys's knees are as bad as mine and should be sitting up here with me talking to someone like you". What an Richard Cranium...... I hope we have one of the top running games in the league and Faulk blows his knee out walking around on the set.

The Houston Chronicle reports the Houston Texans would like RB Steve Slaton to come off the bench and change the pace as their third-down running back. Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan compared Slaton to former NFL RB Marshall Faulk.

During a presser shortly after the draft, Shanahan compared Slaton to Kevin Faulk (in the context of a versatile 3rd down back), not Marshall Faulk.

If you want to read Shanahan's original comment in the appropriate context and not something 3rd hand, go here:
http://www.houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=4279

The Chronicle (Manfull) lifted that quote from the transcript and included it in a story the next day:
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/5734861.html

Then 2 1/2 weeks later kffl posted that tidbit along with an erroneous editorial comment.

kffl has some value in terms of historical news on players but they often mislead with their 'headlines.' My advice - stick with the original source, which in most cases with Texans news, can be read on this website under the News Archive.

Marshal Faulk was a great RB for the Rams, but as an analyst, he is just another eastern establishment talking head.

Yup, and he said just like Reggie Bush also. That was just to good. He body slammed Bush from the top rope with that one. Frankly, I expect Slaton to do better than what Bush has shown so far. Bush might come around and have a fairly productive career, but it isn't looking very good right now.

It will be interesting to see what Matt Schaub can do with better pass protection and a real running game. Alex Gibbs can transform the Texans O-line into something special. Matt Schaub must be jumping for joy. :D

When Matt was healthy he looked real good, he threw alot of INT's but they were interceptions that I could live with because they came from him trying to make big plays.

If we can just keep guys healthy on the o-line and in the backfield, I am POSITIVE that Matt will shatter all of our passing records (not a huge mark I know).

But the main thing is that we will make the playoffs and shut all the haters up. If you look at the roster from top to bottom, if we can stay healthy and Dunta can came back strong to work with Bennet, Man we could really have a hell of a team on our hands here.

Bush looks like Deion use to when someone was about to hit him... And follows it the same way, lays down. Unless he comes up to NFL speed soon...Bush and Bust will both have 4 letters and sound similar for a reason.

I cant wait, Schaub is a really good at throwing the mid to long range balls. I enjoy watching him play because he can make plays with his arm and us as texans fans have never seen that before. Letts all just sit and watch a dynasty in the making.
