Apparently he had his knee scoped. I hope everything is OK.

This will let JJ and Little Andre get some good practice in. Schaub and AJ has such chemistry on the field, I don't see this as any issue.

Scoped is no big deal. Clean out some stuff maybe, thats all.

Is this procedure more of an expoloratory thing, what is the recovery time?

Let's not worry about a minor thing like this. Andre is gonna be fine and besides, he's by far our number 1 receiver and because of this we'll see a little more of Jacoby and the other dude from Hawaii on training camp and preseason.

Usually a scope is to clean out scar tissue and also to explore the knee.
Sounds like they just did a little cleanup and found nothing per the article on Chron.com

Hate to bring the tone down but knock on wood, I have a feeling this knee is going to give him some problems in the future. Just got that feeling....

You think it's a bigger deal than is being portrayed? That's what I'm starting to believe.

I was expecting the sky to be falling when I opened this thread. ;)

This doesn't sound like anything too serious. I think they're just cleaning it up a little but hopefully they keep us posted on the status. AJ is a vet, he doesn't have to be 100% in OTAs in order to be at top form as long as he's good to go some time in training camp and pre season to work on his timing.

He'll only be better when he returns.

About a month, but if they just looked around because he had some pain. Then hardley any recovery time. The month off is due to make sure he's ok. If they cleaned out the knee, then 1 month to 100%

He should go to training camp wearing a Superman costume and do some kind of exercise off to the side. :D

Better yet, Batman. That way TJ can be Robin. :p

The situation can't be helped, as long as he comes into Training camp ok, everything should be fine.

Hey Howard at the Slam Dunk contest busted out the Superman outfit. AJ would look more natural in it...just a thought:rolleyes:

To be honest this has me very nervous! After having Dre gone for a huge chunk of last season I am worried this is going to turn into an on going issue. I hope I am wrong or I will be depressed all next season.

The thing that worries me is that the cleaned it up a bit, but did not find anything significantly wrong. So does that mean there is nothing to fix and he will have knee issues forever? I do not see scar tissue causing so much discomfort that he would go in to get scoped.

Knocking on wood here, but I hope this injury doesnt turn out to be one of those strange ones that Mathis had.

I am praying for the best. I know we ALL are.

No need to worry folks. The Texans have had nothing but good luck regaurding injuries since their conception.

OUCH! That has to be hitting below the belt or something. :(
