When and for how much do you all think that we will sign Duane Brown for?I'm not in any rush as I'm sure we'll get it done.I'd say it would be in the 5 yr 18-22 mil

I have a feeling it will be more than that. Im guessing around 30mil and 12 of that will be guaranteed

Maybe,Amobi was chosen 10th overall and has like an 18 million dollar contract.I think like 12 million of that contract was guaranteed. With the increased salary cap I'd say for 26th overall it would be in the low twenties and about 10 or more guaranteed

yea but he is also a LT. I think that is a little more of a hot commodity in the nfl and the players know it.

He'll probably hold out for Cherilus, Baker and Otah money...thinkin' if those teams were running this Z offense he'd have gone higher (ala Brady)
LOL
The dam will break for rookie signings probably after the July 4th holiday when everything gets back to normal. Rookies report on July 25th.

We picked at 18, not 1 or 10 or whatever anymore. ;)
The longer it takes for the majority of rookies to sign, the more the ugly head of the CBA looms. The agents are to blame, IMO because they get a big chunk of the rookie signing bonuses the NFL is so hot about.

It doesn't make any sense that these guys are earning superstar money before they ever make a play.
Surely rookie contracts need to be capped by the NFL to stop all these holdouts and to move the big money towards the vets who have already proven their worth??
Sure, they should have plenty of cash available to them if or when they earn it, but surely the guaranteed amount needs to be much lower, which would also stop many of these young guys holding out on a team which has a lot more to give them than they have to give the team.
