I am going to the Jacksonville game. I was there a few years ago for a road game. Most of the hotels near the stadium are pricey. You might want to check around for a deal.

i lived in jacksonville for about 4 years while i was in theservice. not sure how many hotels are really close to thestadium. there are a bunch on atlantic Blvd. atlantic blvd is onthe east side of town and is the main traffic vein from that side oftown to the stadium. the road runs right by the stadium, and will alloweasier access, then coming from the west side of JAX. if you geta hotel near there, you will be a straight shot to the stadium on gameday. if you are flying in, the airport is on north side, you can takethe sad excuse for a loop east and ride it to atlantic blvd and go fromthere. furthur you get from downtown the more the prices willdrop. there is a mall on atlantic blvd with a few hotels aroundthat might be less expensive then the one's downtown.
if your sight seeing, check out the st. johns river area. thereis place called the landing which is a hotspot for jax nightlife. there is a statue of a sailor on the bank of the river that you shouldcheck out. if you head east down atlantic, you can go see the jax and atlantic beach area. very pretty beach, and crystal clear water. there is a place on jax beachcalled buckets, awesome wings. i would also suggest dicks wings, which has a few place but the one i know best is on mayport rd. headingto naval station mayport where i was stationed. they have these wingscalled cajun ranch, get em wet to. they are the top 3 wings i have everhad. not sure if any tours are offered at NAS JAX, or NSmayport. but you could look into it. or you can make friendwith a local sailor and get him to show the bases. in allhonesty, JAX is an extremely boring place. oh yeah there is aclub that has 6 club inside, it is called bourbon street nights. for the life of me i cant remember the name of the road but it is2 or 3 lights east of the loop on atlantic. if you ask a localthey will direct you there.
hope this helps your trip planning out some
