Alright, not sure how many people watch the nfl network and i am unsure about Darren Mcfadden's comment of when it was said or rather it was pertaining to the draft itself or what.

But I hate... i'll repeat it again... I HATE that nfl network promo with mcfadden I dont remember the exact words but it says something like "I believe that I have an advantage over any running back"

he hasn't played a single nfl game and hes saying that? The comment gets my blood boiling. I hate it.

so i'm voting him he 2008 nfl rookie flop of the year. What other rookies do ya'll think will be flops?

if falcons start him i think he will be a flop otherwise he could be good with playing back up for a few years.

McFadden is wrong though in my opinion for saying that no running back has an advantage over him. Adrian Peterson didn't say that and right now hes the best RB in the league, within his first year.

I guess that makes VY an elite QB!

AP is not the best RB in the league...yet

This is old news but how do you feel about Mike Hart saying "the NFL isnt as tough as I thought it was going to be." ?

http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080609/SPORTS06/306090016/1048/

"Former Michigan running back Mike Hart is now in the NFL, and it's not quite what he thought.

"It's a little different," Hart said Saturday at Randy Wise Chevroletin Flint, where he signed autographs. "The only surprise is it's not as tough as I thought it was going to be, as far as practice and those type of things," he said. "It's more laid back."

Hart was selected in the sixth round of the April draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He said: "Indianapolis is a different organization. You watch 'Hard Knocks' on HBO and you expect to be hazed and a lot of those things, but the Colts are a lot different. It's not as bad as I thought -- we don't get taped, we don't get hazed with the Colts."

Even the organized team activities sessions over the past week are "a lot more relaxed because there's more teaching," Hart said. "They get all the rookies and young guys prepared, because the vets on our team, they're proven... Really they want to see what the young guys can do, so they slow it down and teach us. Minicamp, when the vets were there, it was all about the vets, to watch them and see how the speed of the game is."

Hart said most sixth-round picks don't get signed until mid- to late July, after the players above them set the standard. He is trying to compete for the backup slot behind Joseph Addai. The competition could be fierce with last year's backup Kenton Keith on the roster. The Colts also signed Dominic Rhodes.

My vote is for Aquib Talib. Dude gets in a fight during a symposium on being a professional with a rookie teammate. How terrible is that?!

Yeah bad example with the Colts. Dungy does things a lot differently so Hart isn't going to necessarily see a lot of the intensity early on that some others may, but if he thinks it's not as hard as he thinks he'll find out when the bullets are flying in a real game....he'll be wishing he was back in OTAs.

I would have to say Joe Flacco.

Flacco seems like he was drafted ONLY because of his rocket arm. In the NFL, that is not all you need. If anything you need more accuracy than power. He also has been playing DII football and that jump isn't so easy.

Yes I know there are other NFL quarterbacks that went on to have fine careers despite coming from DII schools, but for some reason I don't see Flacco doing it

What I really get tired of on the NFL network is VY saying his tatoos are for my auntie, my nieces, ad nauseum. About time they got some new commercials, or can't they sell real ones?

Word out of Ravens camp is that Flacco is looking pretty impressive so far, although it's WAY too early to say for sure if he's going to succeed. Personally I like him.

Wasn't Troy Smith turning heads as well?

We'll also have to see (like with any rookie) how they do when full contact is involved. Have to remember that Baltimore doesn't exactly have an Andre Johnson or Randy Moss.

In workouts this guy didn't just have a strong arm, he had great downfield accuracy. He can throw a better bomb than any of the other rookie QB's, not just because of his arm.
