Concerned that some of its players are flashing signals related to street gangs, the National Football League has hired experts to examine game tapes and identify the hand gestures, a newspaper reported Wednesday.
"There have been some suspected things we've seen," NFL vice president of security Milt Ahlerich told the Los Angeles Times. "When we see it, we quietly jump on it immediately, directly with the team and the player or employee involved to cease and desist. Period."
Oh My God.

Payton Manning makes more signals that anyone in NFL history. Now isnt it funny that he will miss the next six weeks because of some "mystery" injury. I am not saying Payton is a gang member but I have heard (From someone with ties to the dark side) that the Mannings have sold some if not all of their souls to the devil. Then we get someone to look into all of the signals and Payton has to take off 6 weeks?
Coincidence??????

Quite the conspiracy you have going there. :D
Back on topic, I really didn't expect this to happen. Players have a lot of hand signs to say hi to their family while on TV. How are you going to determine what is a gang sign and what isn't?

The media has been promoting thuggish ads for years and its catching up with them. The NBA first and now the NFL. A great move by the commish to take the crap out of the game so we can focus just on the football play.....and here's some tiit for tat....Janet Jackson just got off for the wardrobe malfunction - Link http://www.inrich.com/cva/ric/news.apx.-content-articles-RTD-2008-07-21-0178.html.
NFL should fine the media producers for bringing their product down to the gutter.

LMFAO!!!!!
So, I guess Peyton Manning in the above picture is directing traffic, or saying what coverage the defense is using, or asking to give peace a chance, or signaling Dallas Clark to go gangster on someone.
