It's a sim from WhatIfSports.com basically using statistics from previous years.
Uh.

I like this one:
Owen Daniels (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/playerFantasyNews?statsId=7847)http://msn.foxsports.com/fe/img/NFL/Headshots/7847.jpg
TEDaniels went on a tear during a stretch of 2006, but faded into oblivion quickly. Looks like he has yet to rediscover his top form yet. ProjectionsRecRecYdRecTdFP3350 4.7
Faded into oblivion...or Kubiak stopped letting Carr pass, and then Daniels was injured? Put some more effort into your research, fellas.
And I love how they talk about everything as if it actually happened. I assume they did some sort of simulation, but at least make it clear that this is a sim, not reality.

Yeah look where its coming from, whatifsports.com. What if Larry Johnson holds out or gets traded? What if Brodie Croyle starts? We still have a long way to go, not really, but depth charts arent out, training camp hasnt started, and other key factors. What if whatifsports.com actually had some in depth analyzing and followed the Texans? Maybe we wouldnt have all their nonsense projections. Theyre just maybe playing and simulating off Madden for all we know. They should lay off the video games and go do some analyzing again. And the last what if, what if the Texans go 10-6 and one of the wins happens to come against the Chiefs and 'Dre and Shaub and DeMeco make the probowl? 'Nuff said about them lazy, clueless analysts at whatifsports.com

Hey, I went to that www.whatifsports.com (http://www.whatifsports.com) and played us (at home) against the Colts. We won again! DC threw for the game-winning TD in OT! But even in this sim, our QB was sacked 6 times. Sigh.... some things never change. Even the computer disses our O-line. Either that or the computer knows sommmmeone had no pocket awareness. LOL.

jacoby jones - meager stats for a no.3 hard to imagine a league exist where jones would be a strong assest.
WTF!!!!!
i cant even name how many WR that have gone onto pro bowl careers thathave come from no name schools. just because you dont know thiername, it doesnt mean that they cant suceed. screw fox, and the****** bags that came up with this.
*edit*
also schaub completes 20 passes....yet i only count 18 receptions, thats after giving ron dayne 1 catch for the 1 receiving yard hehad. so in reality fox had 17 catches, and 20 completions. lookslike they need to learn how to count....frickin morons.

wow that's the stupidest thing I've seen yet this offseason.
Why? Like ThePencilNeck said, its just a computer simulation. So what's the big deal? I kinda had fun with it. I played us against the Saints and the Titans. We won about half the time.
Its just a game sim and not to be taken seriously.
The reason Jacoby Jones had no stats is that coming from a small college, they had little or no background data to enter into the simulation.
The smart @$$ remarks were unnecessary but not unexpected. The writer is obviously one of the uneducated masses (as far as Texans stuff goes) who keeps spouting the pre-determined storyline. "No O-line, passed on RB/VY, yada-yada-yada"

Wow, what a bunch of morons. I dont say that because they have the Texans losing. It's because they can't even get thier story straight. They say Johnson catches a TD, but his stat line shows a big fat zero. Then at the bottom they say KC defense allows 18 points then thier final score is KC 28 HOU 17. Huh??

Agreed. Garbage in ...garbage out. I Don't know how you lock in Okoye'sdomination of the Sr. bowl parctices and games. But that will be theprimary factor in the game. Can the K.C. gaurds and center matchOkoye's first step ? Who's going to block Mario one on one if theydouble him ? Can't argue with the Bowe vs Walters / Jones match up.Will argue with the Daniels -Gonzo match up. Daniels should, if MS isas advertised, have a score in the game. Herm Pounds L.J. we got a shotat the up set. That plays into our strength. I see two similarball clubs matched up in a death grip. Both with questions at theo-line and defense. There's no gaurentee that L.J. will be satifiedwith the contract by game time. They're going to run him 400 times thisseason, somebody's got to pay. Herm's not smart enough to figgureanother way to do it, not with that line.

The one yard pass you mentioned was apparently caught by 4 eligible receivers simultaneously. These kinds of plays rarely outsmart the D like that. [:P]

1975 Pittsburg Steelers vs 2006 Houston Texans @Reliant Stadium Here is the final score... Pitt - 51 Hou- 7 That was fun, I simulated 10 times and the closest the Texans came to winning against the Steele Curtain was 20-17.
Joe Greene, Mel Blount, and Jack Lambert must have been out that game. And Terry Hanratty must have been the QB. [:)]

You do know that the "league" they are referring to is Fantasy Football Leagues, not the NFL. They are saying that according to the sim he would of earned his "team" 3 FP's and that 3 FP's wouldn't make him a strong asset to anyones Fantasy Football Team.
Same with Owen Daniels. The "faded into oblivion" was in refrence to him starting out good fantasy point wise and then he went down hill and didn't score many, if any, fantasy points for his owners. So they are saying you might want to think twice before you pick Daniels as your starting TE cause you might not get many points out of him.

This is what is going to happen until we start proving people wrong ON THE FIELD. Until then, guys who know nothing about sports can jump in on any argument against our team and say stupid stuff like "theyt passed on VY/RB" and "300 yards is not bad except it WAS against Houston- giving them cause for concern"
They may be a#$holes- but are they wrong...YET?!
I hope we win, but they do have reason to not believe that we can win until we do.

Here is an interesting pick. This guy has the Texans grabbing second place in the division.
http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/289871/nfl_2007_predictions_what_team_will.html?page=5
2. Houston Texans: People may think that this prediction is crazy, but the addition of quarterback Matt Schaub is a huge upgrade. David Carr cannot be blamed for everything, due to his playing behind a awful offensive lineman, but he does not have the talent of this former Atlanta quarterback.
He will have a great season, as Andre Johnson will haul in over 100 passes. Third Rounder Jacoby Jones will become a solid possession receiver, and young Kevin Walter will put up some solid performances. Ahman Green's signing raised a lot of eyebrows, but he has at least two solid seasons left in his legs, as he is only 29 years old. Ron Dayne is a great third down back, and TE Owen Daniels is a nice last option when traffic starts to surround the quarterback. Mario WIlliams was not a popular draft selection two years ago, but he will improve, and DT Okoye is mature beyond his 19 years. Coach Kubiak will provide positive leadership for this team, and with his experience from Denver, this could allow for a couple of extra victories.

No one has even pointed out that Larry Johnson might be a hold out. If he holds out and one of those useless QB's they have starts...We have a very nice chance.
