:eek:Whoa! I would have never imagined Jeremy would end up there. But I think they need a break-out vet.

Ya I actually read something about a month ago saying the Saints could use him but I didn't actually think he would end up there.

I wouldn't have given up that much for Shockey. Then again, a certain someone isn't doing all that much for the New Orleans offense so I guess this helps them out.

Definitely an interesting scenario. Will Shockey get better like Moss did when he went to New England? Many people thought Moss would still keep his attitude problem when he first got traded to the Patriots. That seemed to work out just fine.

I know the Patriots and Saints are two different teams; and Moss and Shockey aren't quite the same player, but Jeremy could be that missing piece the Saints need to help them into the playoffs once again.

:eek:NOLA, needs what they can get. One man can't carry a whole team on his back. So far...they are going to need better weapons on offense as well as defense.

Who knows, Shockey might become great as Steve Smith, if he stops counting his money. I think it was in his best interest to go somewhere he will have a place at the dinner table.

Yea but the Pats went 16 - 0. And Moss had what 27 -28 TD's. Shockey won't ever see that in NO.

He won't but he will be utilized more in the passing game since teams shouldn't be able to key on him and Colston; possibly Bush if he lines up as a slot receiver.

If he recovers well from his injury last year, I see some pretty big numbers from him.

Shockey is going to add depth, mental stability, and leadership that it greatly needs. I hope he plays some downs @ the tx's and Saint's scrimage.

I hope your kidding. As another poster said...the Saints just inked a deal for: LOCKER ROOM CANCER

mental stability.

Some how, I'm not thinking that is one of Shockey's strong points.

I'm actually a Jeremy Shockey fan & i think he'll be a good fit in NO. If he is fit by game-time, along with Brees, Bush & McAllister, he will be a real threat drawing attention away from Colston & Co. From what I've heard he wanted to be there in NO with Payton so here is hoping he is focussed & raring to prove the critics wrong in all the right ways...

I wish Shockey the best in his career at NOLA. If he is strong and healthy out on the field, I'm sure the Saints will be a threat this season. But will they hold off the CowGirls defense??
