As ive mentioned before. Houston has seen it happen before when the Rockets actually won a world championship. The losing team "Knicks" ended up on the cover page of SI. They said it was because NY is a bigger market. If your not NY/CHI/LA or general area you can forget it.

There's definintely some truth there. Just count how many freakin Yankees games have been on ESPN the last couple of months....it's ridiculous how much air time an overhyped, overpaid team from NY can get.

Boy, am I ever glad you brought this up. I know most fans have been upset about this already but, wouldn't bring up winning the Super Bowl and not getting good press... as they have such hard time facing the hard facts.

Good replies, from the students here. A personal attack on me... but nothing about the post stating when we win the Super Bowl. Note: We are 101 to one to win it. Now, some need to grow-up and face the facts.

The only fact that I'm facing is that you are constantly bitter and have nothing good to say. So why do you stay here? Have you registered at the Panthers message board yet? That's where all the Carr fans went.

If we win the S.B. I don't give a ****** what anyone says. We will be written in history as the Champs of that yr. and that cannot be taken away. I would like to mess with the Titan fans though, b/c as long as Bud is their owner they will never make it.
Call me a Titan or Vince fan if you want (I'm truly a Texan fan), but the Titans have come much closer to winning the big game than we ever have. If they can recover from the PacMan crap and get some receivers, I see them making a playoff run before we even sniff the playoffs. JMO

Any given Sunday any team is better than the other they are playing, thats why we have things like Upsets.

Yeah, but getting those receivers is a problem. Other than McCardell (he's still out there, isn't he?), there aren't any respectable FA WRs.
I guess they could try to make a trade with NE for one of their WRs, but other than that, who would they get?

Ok your a Titan Fan, hey nothing wrong with that at all, at least you made a intelligent post unlike some of the other titan fans. I do not see the Titans makeing the playoffs or winning the big dance just because of Bud Adams and here is why. the year the Titans went to the Super bowl, they had a awesome team, good RB, QB, good Defense and so on. The next year they blew up the team and havent been the same since, am I right? He did the same thing when the Oilers were in Houston with Moon and company. In my own opinion, I do not think Bud would spend the money it takes to get players around Vince in order for him to succeed. I do not think Vince will ever be more than a 8-8 Qb, not from his talent but from being held back by his owner. they could have signed Henry, who had a awesome year, and the other 2 WR from last year and would have been looking at a playoff shot this year. The defense is skeptical, I mean they played out of their asses last year and might be good this year with the additions of Doss and the draft pick. I just think that Bud expects VY to be a Tenn Vick and do it himself and that isn't going to help them win. I think after 5 years of hell here in Houston, McNair is willing to shell out anything Kubiak and Smith wants in order to win here in Houston. Kubiak is having to dump alot of players and try and rebuild something that actually looks like an NFL team and a playoff contender and I think he is in the right direction. So I would say that Houston is closer than Tenn for the simple fact that Bud isn't willing to shell out the dough that McNair is to build a winning team.
Good post TH316. I totally agree. Bud was absolutely BEYOND stupid for busting up a 12-4 team because they didn't get into the Superbowl. I believe they went 3-13 the next year. Before that he fired Bum because he didn't beat the 70's Steelers. Hell, who did!?!
McNair has had his brain-farts too. Like agreeing with a "no players over 30" philosophy. Where are your team leaders going to come from?? And like getting emotionally attached to you-know-who. I'm still trying to figure out the logic in giving an extension to a 2-14 QB. If it were me, there wouldn't have been a single soul on that 2005 team that wouldn't have been scrambling to save his job. Especially given the talent on the horizon in the upcoming draft.
The difference seems to be, McNair has learned from his mistakes. I doubt that they get repeated.
