Not sure about Petey, but Kubiak let Colvin rest this morning because he's a veteran. He plans to alternate N.D. Kalu and Colvin at every practice, so Kalu won't practice this afternoon and Colvin will. Seems like that'll be the pattern for the rest of camp, and Kubiak hinted that he'll do the same (http://www.houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=4426) with several players in this camp; remains to be seen to whom he was referring.

Along those lines, Kubiak will rest Ahman Green this afternoon and will probably limit him to one practice a day for all of camp. But Kubiak made sure to say after practice that this isn't because of Green's knee that was hurt last year; it's just because Green's a veteran, and by resting Green, Kubiak gets to see more of the other ball carriers in a crowded backfield.

...that's great info-- thanks. And I like the idea of knowing what your vets have, and taking a longer look at the younger guys.

Petey's looked like a left hamstring and it must have happened yesterday because he came out without his shell. He started on the stationary bike but then got an ice wrap on his left hammy and watched from the sideline.
