Today when the practice was over I needed to use the restroom before leaving, and headed over toward the Porto-cans on the southside. Well as some of the players where walking through the fenced off area signing autographs, which is a wonderful thing and the players that do it are beyond wonderful. But while the player is in this area which is 30 yds or so long the yellow shirts do not let people cross to the other side.

Well I waited 10 to 15 minutes to get across to get the south side of the public area. Once I was finished with my business, I headed back, now another player was making the slow sign each person stuff walk. Again which I think is wonderful, but again the yellow shirts stated they could not let anyone cross when a player is visible in the area. 20 minutes to get back across.

Now I am not wanting to stop the players from this activity, nor do I want to speed them through the area. I want to know why there can not be another row of restrooms on the north side, even possible in the parking lot? Or a slight change to the policy that if a player is on one end the other end can open every 5 minute or so to allow the movement of people not collecting the autographs. I think it could be done safely with out risk to the fans or the players.

Other than that one item, the open practice is great and fun. The security people have all been very friendly and helpful.

That's terrible. Did you let any of them know you just wish to cross?

Oh yes, and they would state the policy does not allow them to let people across if a player is visible.

I have a feeling that someone is missing something.

There's a bunch of restrooms in the parking lot along the McNee Rd. fence.

Typically they let people cross when there aren't any players coming through. At least that's what I've been seeing.

I thought I had seen restrooms along a fence, but the last few days I have not seen them. I will make a note of that, would have saved me a huge amount of time.
