Anyone have any insight as to the starters' playing time this Saturday? I would expect them to go 1 quarter, but not sure. Does this sound right? I'm taking some newbies with me and would like them to see some real football--you know what I mean...

Broncos WR Marshall will be benched on a suspension.

I think his suspension starts at the beginning of reg. season, not preseason

If the first team offense moves the chains and scores points on their first drive, that may be all you see of Schaub. I imagine Duane Brown will see a lot of work. Pitts and Winston not so much. You're probably going to see a lot of Chris Taylor, Steve Slaton and Darius Walker, and not so much Ahman Green or Chris Brown. 4th quarter could get a bit ugly. Expect Boyd and Brink to get some action from what I've been reading in the quotes. It's a good time to see the backups play.

I think you see the starters for two series tops. Most of the QB time will be given to Brink and Boyd. Sage probably plays the rest of the first and a series or two of the second. I expect to see a lot of Adibi, Okam, Barber and Molden on defense. Probably most or all of the second and third quarter, in fact.

I hope Slaton gets at least 10 carries. I'm excited about him. I also hope to see JJ in a lot at WR.

Yup, Kubes said he was going to see a lot more time than the rest of the ones. Needs the reps. I can't remember which video it is on the front page of this site, but in one he did a nice job of keeping Mario in front of him, sliding his feet and riding Mario back beyond the QB. Showed he can do it I guess, just needs more practice to where he doesn't get fooled by a move.

If we have a long opening drive I think the starters will be done after that. If its kinda short they may come back out. Then the 2nd unit will come in. 3rd stringers should come infor the second half. Maybe midway through 3rd Q.
