I'm a Texans fan living in Connecticut and can't watch games easily since my condo association won't let us install DirecTV.
But I've heard that DirecTV has an add-on to Sunday Ticket called 'Superfan'. For $99, you get HD games, a 'red zone' channel that always switches to action inside the 20s, and among other things, the ability to watch streaming games through the internet.
I'm willing to offer to pay you $150 if you will allow me to be able to watch the streaming games online. You would get upgraded to HD games, and in addition, you'll get the red zone channel and the other benefits of the Superfan package. Plus you can pocket the extra $50, which I am willing to pay to guarantee that you won't block me out of watching any games online by doing so at the same time (they only allow one computer signed on at once)
If you normally just watch games on your home TV and have considered upgrading to HD, I'll basically pay you to do it. All you would have to do is give up the right to watch the games online.
If this interests you, please respond.
Thanks!

I might be willing to do this, it depends on if I can create a different login name for just the Supercast part though. No offense, but I don't really want to give anybody the login for my actual DirecTV account. Unfortunately the system is available until Sept 1st, so we'd have to wait until then to find out.

Oh, BTW as long as you have a patio or balcony that faces south, you can get DirecTV yourself:
FCC Fact Sheet on Placement of Antennas (http://www.fcc.gov/mb/facts/otard.html#QA)
The rule (47 C.F.R. Section 1.4000) has been in effect since October 1996, and it prohibits restrictions that impair the installation, maintenance or use of antennas used to receive video programming. The rule applies to video antennas including direct-to-home satellite dishes that are less than one meter (39.37") in diameter (or of any size in Alaska), TV antennas, and wireless cable antennas. The rule prohibits most restrictions that: (1) unreasonably delay or prevent installation, maintenance or use; (2) unreasonably increase the cost of installation, maintenance or use; or (3) preclude reception of an acceptable quality signal.
Effective January 22, 1999, the Commission amended the rule so that it also applies to rental property where the renter has an exclusive use area, such as a balcony or patio.
The rule applies to individuals who place antennas that meet size limitations on property that they own or rent and that is within their exclusive use or control, including condominium owners and cooperative owners, and tenants who have an area where they have exclusive use, such as a balcony or patio, in which to install the antenna. The rule applies to townhomes and manufactured homes, as well as to single family homes.
The rule allows local governments, community associations and landlords to enforce restrictions that do not impair the installation, maintenance or use of the types of antennas described above, as well as restrictions needed for safety or historic preservation. Under some circumstances where a central or common antenna is available, a community association or landlord may restrict the installation of individual antennas. The rule does not apply to common areas that are owned by a landlord, a community association, or jointly by condominium or cooperative owners where the antenna user does not have an exclusive use area. Such common areas may include the roof or exterior wall of a multiple dwelling unit. Therefore, restrictions on antennas installed in or on such common areas are enforceable.

Unfortunately, we are on the bottom floor of two and the top has a balcony that overhangs us. We'd need the satellite to aim over the roof and thus about a 30 foot pole... We talked to our neighbor and she even said she'd be ok putting it on her balcony but we'd have to screw it in to the wall and that's not ok according to the condo assoc...

OK, I just wanted to let you know that a HOA can't completely restrict you from putting up a dish, most people think they can (and so do a lot of HOA's). A HOA can only restrict you from putting up the dish in "common areas". If you can't get the signal physically, that's a different matter.
Anyway, like I said before, if I can create a separate user name and password for just the Supercast part, we can make a deal. We just have to wait until Sept 1st to find out I guess.

One thing if you are trying to watch the Texans game via Supercast using the password and username from a Directv subsciber in Houston-area, you won't be able to view the Texans game. Because it is blackout and shown only in the local station. Found that out last year when we tried to do that when travelling. The only way we could watch the Texans game on Supercast is on the channel where they show all the games simultaneously. Sort of hard to follow the game on that channel but better than nothing

They even black it out online? That's beyond stupid.
But it doesn't matter, because I live in VA anyway - which is why I must have NFL Sunday Ticket, or I'd probably only get to see the Texans on MNF this year.
And since you used Supercast last year, do you know if it's possible to create a separate username/password just for Supercast? Or do they force you to use the same one as your DirecTV account login?

I had to use the same directv account username and password to log onto supercast.

I'm still looking for a Texans fan that would be willing to let me do this - it turns out though that they must not live in the H-Town area because DirecTV still blacks out the game, even online (how stupid!)
Let me know if you're interested...
