my fellow texans fans
i just moved to missouri land of chiefs and most people here are chiefs fans and all the time they talk smack about our team.
so if the texans beat them then i will have alot less annoying KC fans on my back all day and night.
GO TEXANS

I would be interested in knowing how they feel about their season opener. Do they feel it will be a nice easy start to the season? Are they already counting the W and thinking about the next week? Do they have any knowledge about the Texans besides "The O-Line sucks!"?

Hopefully its like the 03 Miami opener.
However they are suffering as a team right now with the rebuilding going on there.
Allen will be out, Johnson is not happy, they have no O line, Croyle looks to start at QB.
However I wont know for sure until I execute my plan... Read my thread on it..

They have some really good players on defense, but they've never gelled as a unit.

Wow if they think week one is just going to be a easy game, I can't wait till we beat them. Bad offseasons always lead to bad starts. Allen out, Johnson wants a new contract(may hold out), no scary WR, new quarterback.
SOUNDS LIKE A TEXANS WIN

Is it just me or my kool-aid but Houston should win hands down. No team will be more motivated to prove they are not the chumps the media makes them out to be. The D was becoming a force as the last ten weeks stats prove so if KC can muster much offense in a rockin Reliant I will be surprised. The D will set up the offense in this one and allow a power running attack that sets up the pass. If the d-line actually becomes disruptive it will be a long day for the Chiefs. If Houston loses this one I am afraid it will be another long year. Good thing I see this one being an eye opener for the rest of the league.
Texans 30
KC 13
KC fan's last reference point on us was the embarrassment back in '05 on Prime Time...
The Chiefs were 10-6 that year with Trent Green, Will Shields and Willie Roaf making the Pro Bowl They aren't around any more. LJ is still the man - maybe he'll hold out - even though I would like to play them at their best.
Our team was one of the worst in history that year and we've improved considerably since then. Beating the Colts in a meaningful game in Week 16 last year showed me something. The key to the game will be how the new QBs perform. I think we could see something low scoring -- one of those last possession games where a special teams play could make the difference. Both these teams will try to run the ball 60% of the time.

Most of the KC fans are thinking they'll have an opening day win. The deal here is that they don't have the same team that they had the last couple of years and it aint better. The other side of the coin is that we don't have the same team we've had the last couple of years and we all hope and believe that it aint worse.
I think we stand a pretty good chance of winning that home opener. Vegas will probably show us as a home dog, but it'll be less than a field goal. I can't wait. It's almost time for training camp.
Go Texans

I hope your right A.J. I believe our D will be stronger against the run vs the pass, especially early in the season.
