I voted for you. Commented as well. It's just sad how many people are discussing something about which they know almost nothing. I would never try to discuss, say, Carolina's OL, as I don't know a thing about it. I'd even give Oakland's OL the benefit of the doubt this year with a new coaching staff (although that may be partly my experience with this team and all the blind hating it gets).

I voted and commented as well. It doesn't make a difference if the bimbo wins or not. When the Texans make the playoffs as the Wild Card with a 11-5 record (you heard it here first). The Lana's of the world will be scratching their heads and saying "WT??"

Correction, I heard it inside my crazy head during a BRKA-induced hallucination first. [:P]

I voted for you but you really picked a bad argument.
[:(]
Andre is fighting an uphill battle to be a top-5 WR.
(a) Kubiak & Sherman's offense is a run-first offense. To be in the top five, AJ will have to have better stats than WRs in pass-happy offenses like Indy, Cincy, St. Louis, Detroit (yes, Detroit! - Kitna threw for 4000 yds last yr under Martz. He'll do even better with Calvin Johnson as a weapon), New Orleans, etc... Dude, its going to be tough for AJ to crack the top 5.
(b) This is Schaub's first season as a starter. NFL coaches tend to be really conservative with first year starters. Kubiak will be no different. More running . Unless he sets the world on fire in preseason, we'll see short-to-medium, safe passes from Schaub until he has maybe 2-3 regular season games under his belt. Short-to-medium passes will also take pressure off the O-line. I figure Sherman will do that until they start to gell as a unit.
AJ's YAC and TDs should increase and he might bust 1000 yds receiving, but I'll be amazed if he comes close to 100+ catches again.
But I voted for you anyway.

I might even agree with that, but there's no way that an ignoramus like her is winning this throwdown.

Sorry but when I got to "(Andre Johnson) will not be the same without David Carr," I just couldn't continue.

But if you asked me to buy or sell on this statement: "Andre Johnson will be a top 5 WR in receptions and receiving yards this year!"
I'd sell.
I think in Sherman's passing attack this year, we'll see more 'efficient distribution' of the ball among WR1, RB, TE, and WR2, instead of over-dependence on one guy. The offense as a whole should improve as a result and AJ's stats will remain solid but not eye-popping.
Last year the #5 WR had 92 receptions for 1295 yards. I can see AJ getting close to that, but definitely not surpassing it by much if at all.
That's how I would have started the debate against Valdez - and I think I just basically agreed with someone above me in this thread.
Shallow and off the wall arguments such as "he has no protection," "Schaub doesn't have the tools" (huh?), and "AJ won't be the same without David Carr" (double huh?) show a general lack of knowledge on the subject - so even though I hope our guy Valdez comes out on top, I wouldn't be too embarr****ed to 'lose' to this person in what basically comes down to how many buddies can you find to vote for you, regardless of the basis of your argument and how well is was presented.

I guess we are trying to prove she is talking out of her gluteous.

That was me.
I voted to support Vasquez but he should have picked another point to throwdown on. I would have started the "our O-line is better than people think" argument. Then made the throwdown "Schaub will be sacked at least 5-10 times fewer than Carr was" or "Our O-line will give up 35 sacks or less". Since everyone thinks we give up 50 sacks a year, I bet she would have taken that bait.
You'd have been right but that doesn't mean you would have won the "popularity contest" they call a throwdown.

That reminds me. It's 3 weeks before training camp and I've yet to see a "buy and sell" thread. When do we usually start those? Im ready!!

She lost her credibility when she said "Schaub just doesn't have the tools".I should have said that about every scout and GM in the NFL would disagree with her.How the hell did she win this?

How did she win this? I agree. With him:stooping to name calling, some real zingers like *****, Slut and that she was cheating while ghost's were poping up to support him. Sure, he took the side he wanted, so what if he was wrong when history showed other wise. It was what he wanted to believe. Now, I'm just waiting for him to Man-up... to getting his butt whiped by the young lady. Lana, you da Man.
