well, before you say they suck maybe you should take a look at their offensive totals the first 2 preseason games. Leading the league in offense and rushing.
And doing well in defense. This is the first year i am actually believing they have a good team , in spite of Vince Y.
I hear you about how some Titan fans have been around here, but i'm sure when we play them it is going to be a big battle of offensive powerhouses

seeing as how they are 2-0 also.....
probably not the best time to post this up xD
I wouldn't be hiding with a 2-0 record....only like..5 other teams in the league are undefeated...
once they lose..then you should ;)

I'm surprised he remembered to put his name at the top ;)
You mean his wonderlic (intelligence) test, he got a six but was scored "incorrectly" and did a retest and got a 16. Haha but its all the same.;) Looks like its catching up to him (on the field).

while we are both 2-0 look at our games vs theres.
game 1 texans vs broncos- 19-16 we win
game 2 texans vs saints- 31-27 we win
game 1 titans vs rams- 34-13 titans win
game 2 titans vs raiders- 17-16 titans win
our 2 games were against respectable teams and we played well in them both.
the titans dominated the 3-13 rams i will give them that. they dominated. but then against the RAIDERS. the horrible raiders they got owned in the final seconds 1 fg saved them from being beaten..
our 2-0 is a wholee lot more impressive.

TN played a terrible game against the Raiders and had many key pieces on the D out and still pulled out a win. Mark my words, the Raiders are gonna upset a few teams this year because Kiffin has them headed in the right direction.
Stl, they stink but their offense has never been the problem and you know it. TN's defense dominated a highly skilled offensive team.
I think the Broncos will be better this year but they aren't a good team and the same goes with the most over rated team in the league, the Saints.
My point is that I wouldn't be bragging about anything if I were you.

Im not here to bash your team or teams wins and what their worth, but about the Rams, your right about their offense has never been a problem...when they have all their pieces. Jackson wasnt there. From looking at the stats, Bulger went 3/9 for 29 yards and an INT. Their top rusher was Pittman with 21 yards on 6 att. And their recievers didnt do too much either. Top reciever in the game was Dane Looker, who is I think a backup in reg. season. A win is a win, yeah anybody will take that, but nothing to impressive to say about in that win. Just a nice whooping on the bad Rams team.

Hmm no one seems to think he is the real deal or worry about him. And why worry about CJ? We got someone who is just as good, if not better than CJ, in Steve Slaton. And if there was a need to worry, well there wouldnt/wont be, we got our defense. Just hope CJ starts this week or gets a good amount of PT against starters of whoever Tenn. plays. I sure know Steve will, and then we will just see how good/ready he is. And oh yeah, Im not saying CJ sucks, but not ready to call him the "real deal"

No way, Look with Mike wearing leg shackles it would totally limit the Vince. Advantage VY
Now throwing the ball is where Mike should be able to throw the ball in direction he wants it to go. Advantage MV
So I would say if Mike wore leg shackles it would be a push.

I am going to assume that you didn't watch the game because the Texan's game was on. Let me guess you went to NFL.com and watched the highlight and based your opinion on his stats, right?
I don't have a problem with you talking crap because by all means, it's a free country and we are on a Texan's message board any way. The only problem I have is that you talk about how bad his footwork was when most likely 1 of these 3 things happened.
1). You know that you are lying and are just saying it to look cool in front of your peers.
2). You know very little about the suddle nuances of football and the QB position.
3). You saw that Vince actually played quite well and realized that he could actually be improving and maybe if he kept it up then TN would get some receivers and then one day, just maybe, you would have to come to terms with the fact that Vince Young is actually a good QB in this league.
Don't feel obligated to respond OJthecat. I know the answer.

I did not see this last game, however in the Raider game his footwork was awful. Everytime he dropped back to throw with the exception of his first 2 passes his was either throwing off his back foot or throwing while leaning backwards. He has done that in most games. And is not my imagination because I have heard the announcers make reference to it.

VY is rated 100 that is right 100 out of 112 QB's that have played thus far in the preseason. That said I know of two QB's that have not had a snap that would probably be rated higher than 100.

Don't get it twisted, i'm not taking up for Vince at all. It's just seems that out of 7 games with Vince, 6 of those would be inconsistent. The one game he has that he actually does good, the receivers show how crappy they are. The Falcons game was similar to the Broncos game..

Hey, I'm no homer or fortune teller so I don't know if Vince will pan out or not but I definitely think he can. From some of the things that I have seen, I was actually happy with his progression so he is improving, imo. He does need to step it up and for all I know he could be a bust but most fans from rival teams think there is no chance that he ever becomes a good QB and I know it's just their opinion but they state it like it's a fact when in most cases it's quite obvious they are talking out of their bum.

I gotta say, I watched the first half (all that vince played) and he wasn't as bad as usual. I’m really not that worried,” Heimerdinger said of quarterback Vince Young. “If he was going in the wrong spot and not reading the coverages it would be one thing. If his feet were wrong and was off-balance it would be one thing. But I just don’t see those problems right now.
“I’d like to see guys get in the right spots so Vince knows where they’re going to be. If we’re not in the right spots, we’re not doing the right things, we’re not separating, it’s awful hard to look good throwing,” Heimerdinger said.
“I know everybody is like ‘It’s on Vince, it’s on Vince, it’s on Vince.’ Well, somebody has to also get some separation out there and get in the right spot. We need 11 on the same page and we’re all taking turns screwing up.’’

Not to be a burden...but he did score a six...but couldn't focus under the pressure of a distracting testing area so they let him retake, which is when he made the 16. Which is still not impressive...at all...Interesting that he couldn't keep composure under pressure

DRO' ....how ya been doing friend!!!
Sup man. My posting has been hit or miss lately. Since it's still the off season I thought I would give my hands a break and take a lot of vacation time. Been traveling some and spending my online time playing GLB. You should check it out if you haven't already...it's way better than fantasy for someone as obsessed as me about football.
My contributions will pick up as the season kicks off but for now I do a few drive by posts just to stir **** up. ;)
Good luck this season... we're looking to move up the AFC South food chain so expect a better performance from us this season.

This has David Carr written all over it so if it doesn't work out don't expect any sympathy from us. ;)

Yeah, I remember you said you do gardening or that you own a nursery or something of that nature. Sounds kinda funny coming from a Titans fan on this board, but glad to see you. Ya other guys in here have been unloading on me and my fellow Titans visitors, but we in here holding our own.
Here's to a great season...except for those two times of course!
Later!

Thanks but GT is the one that owns the nursery, although I do like trees. ;)
I'm looking forward to an exciting season for the Texans but the scoop coming out of Titans camp isn't sounding too encouraging. Everyone's talking about Vince like we used to talk about Carr and we all know how that turned out. If I were the Dinger I would get the ball to Johnson and Crumpler as much as possible and hope the defense keeps playing at last season's level.

I think this is a whole lot of talk about nothing. Texans will dominate the Titans, at least this is what I think., but who cares what I think. I say we all wait until 9/21 and then the proof will be there, no excuses.
If we win they will say it is because VY was not there to show us how really handoffs and pitches are done. :)
