go take that in your pipe and smoke it. Lets see who is better this season, you or Mario(as we all remember those comments he made). Oh wait, you'll be on the sidelines.:)

"The New York Giants' Osi Umenyiora needs season-ending knee surgery, NFL Network's Adam Schefter is reporting. The Pro Bowl defensive end has a torn MCL.
Umenyiora injured his left knee in the second quarter of the New York Giants' preseason game against the New York Jets."
No wonder Mario isnt going full speed.

Hate to hear that. He's a horse. But did not like his comments about Mario.

You know how it happened right? After the comments on him, Mario used his Super Mario powers, and this happened...

Live and let live brother. No need to bash a player when they are down.
Injuries are not anything to gloat about. I want to win the superbowl against the best of the NFL. I hate to see anyone get hurt. No matter who they are.
Just my opinion. I don't know what he said about Mario but i think this thread is going to far and is not representative of our professionalism and codes of conduct we and our football team try to live by.

Ya I agree with Yosarian 100%. I hate to see any player go down because of injury no matter what. I don't even wish injury on Fat Albert who I hate more than any other player in the NFL. We are better than this thread, let's get back to being professional.

I wasn't pleased with what he said about Mario, either. However, I certainly don't wish harm on the man. Especially after watching Harry Williams go down friday night. I pray that they both have full and speedy recoveries.

Karma's a *****
How is that karma? just because he said things about another player and then gets hurt "the gods or karma" caused the injury? It makes you feel better as a fan to feel that way just because he said things about your team and your players. I guess karma had it for robinson and williams because they got hurt too right? but wait they never called anyone out. So is it karma...um no. The point is its not karma its the NFL and injuries happen and there is no need to rub it in when someone goes down, even if he's an opponent.
Oh trust me I hate the G-Men more than you guys ever can, but I still hate to see injuries. Even if he's a loud mouth.

It means the football gods are clearing the path for Mario to be the sack leader this season!

Vince, you almost made HIS point for him...
It would never be the other way around because Mario has the class man...
Don't get me wrong, I don't condone kicking a guy when he's down, but I don't feel horrible that Osi got sidelined with an injury.
Seriously...does ANYONE remember how many injuries WE had last season? Yeah...it's about time others team took some of our burdens and learned to deal. On the other side, I hope he gets better quickly. Maybe this will help him to realize why it's not a given that you'll be there next season or even next week.

What does Mario having class have to do with a season ending injury?
GOD forbid, if a injury as such occurs to Williams, the Texans would be in panic mode as the Giants are right now. Imagine how the Giants fans, team feels now. That was my point.
And seriously, it's a new season...nobody cares about injuries from last season...
And by highlighted portion, you think I made His point? That sounds like inner issues...

What I meant Vincesanity, was the the way you worded your post it made it sound like how would we feel if the roles were reversed. Well, naturally, your point didn't include the statement made about Mario by Osi, but the fact is, that statement was classless, right?
In either way, Mario would've never made a statement like that, so other teams fans would not be NEARLY so harsh in his going down(maybe a little due to the whole "we told you he was a bust", but not due to his OWN statements). THAT was what I was hinting at.
Like I said, I hate for ANY good player go down. I was sad to hear the news. But in the same token, he has to endure it like everyone else. One year on the sidelines might do him some good. He was EXTREMELY cocky(not confident, COCKY) in his interviews on ESPN radio. And that ALWAYS is a good way to piss off fans of other players.
No one is above the injury bug, and everyone including players, would be wise to remember that.
Hopefully, he comes back like Dunta and maybe can come back earlier(ok, so that's more my hope than anything else), but if not, well, he'll be missed on their team.
But no man's job is 100% secure. After all, had Dunta not gone down, would we have known how good Bennet really was? Probably not.
In closing, I'd like to say that Kiwaniku is said to have all the tools to be an elite DE, and this may be the chance he needs on the team with the right fit for him. Heck, I've heard he's even a better DE than LB...so yeah...who knows what he's got in him?
Here's to Osi and a speedy recovery. And here's to him realizing he's not invincible.........
