Do you draft him at a cost of next years 3rd round?

I would not use higher than a fifth round pick, so to answer you question NO.

No higher than a 6th RD pick. He flunked out because he wouldn't go to class. That spells lazy. He would take at least a year on the practice squad and I am not sure he can last that long.

I would use a 4th on Gaither he has 1st rd. talent if his head is screwed on straight. I would use a 3rd on Paul Oliver if we can get him he is definitley a 1st rd talent. Then we only need to pick up a WR. FS. & a LB. in the draft & free agency. If we could only be so lucky. We should be way under the cap next year. With these additions of young players & vets added in free agency next year we should have a bright future. I had a dream this can happen.

I have no idea how I feel about him as a player, but different people are lazy about different things. Other than our current scholarship system, I wouldn't say that sports and higher education have much at all to do with each other. It takes much different types of willpower to achieve different goals, not to mention where you are starting from in terms of genetics.

The beat writer for the Terps has gone on record to say Gaither is a selfish, immature and lazy individual. Not a glowing endorsement from a guy who has been around the kid for 2 years. I do not want to go out on the limb and waste a pick on the kid.

Now if our scouts and GM decide the kid is worthy of a pick, then I will be one of his biggest supporters.

Depending on how well the F.O. likes him, I wouldn't mind giving up a 5th possibly a 4th. I just don't think I could part with a third considering next years O lineman class and the fact that we would only have one first day selection if we gave our third.

In short, no! He could turn out to be a great lineman, or he could be a huge bust. Either way you won't know until a few years down the road. He is a project. I just don't think he will be worth it. JMHO!
