I dont know. I think he played behind Peppers. Kinda suprised he was brought in because I know we are looking for a pass rush opposite Mario, but I dont think he was brought in to start opposite Mario. Maybe a situational player like Colvin was going to be, or wait what Colvin wasnt;)

...I know we are pretty set at WR, but I thought Simmons looked pretty good. Glad to see he's around.

Yup and Boyd. They looked horrible the other night against the Bucs whatever stringers you want to call them.

Me too Whiskeyrbl. I hope he gets a chance to move up to the active roster when Ahman goes down.

Although his playing time has been limited, I've never seen him really make a big mistake in a regular game.

:D

Jesse Nading!

:D

Don't go play for anyone else now. Keep eating those steaks and eggs and hit the weights hard!
Wait on time Jesse, you'll be there one day.

I like him as well. He needs to eat more tuna as well.

Well, if you don't count Owen Daniels as our third option yes. But truthfully, if both Matt and Sage go down, our season is shot to heck anyway.

Owen Daniels as QB. I try to be optimistic so....maybe Owen Daniels can be the next Peyton Manning. :)

There's still room for one more on the ps./

i wonder what that feels like. To finally get your shot to live your dream in the NFL, only get like 3 quarters to prove your worth then...get cut. Probably not even looked at by another team. Yeah that must suck.

The last PS spot is most definitely for a QB. After Saturday's practice, Kubiak said they were going to check the waiver wire for a QB. He wouldn't come out and say "we're going to check the wire before using Boyd or Brink as a last resort," but that's exactly what he was getting at. He was trying to be politically correct.

So yeah - unless there's nobody better on the wire, the team is done with Brink and Boyd.

Darnell and Darius...YES!!!!

I liked Darnell as well. From his highlights on YouTube anyway. The dude went over the middle numerous times and took a SHOT and got up with the ball still in hand. Just a shame we are stacked at WR right now.

Well he proved the whining about drafting a QB by myself and others to be on point.

So what was the point of drafting Brink? lol

To see if he was any good, and he wasnt, so they cut him...not every draft pick makes a roster....and developmental QB's will never make a final roster in year one...theyve got to put time in on the PS or as an injury replacement...

Good question. I was screaming for them to get Colt Brennan in the later rounds but noooooooooooooooo, we get some guy we've never heard of.

yea no kidding colt brennan is going to be a star very soon. but o well. maybe we'll get lucky if both matt and sage get hurt and owen daniels turns into the next peyton manning lol...

Haha Ive always wanted to see Daniels as a QB, but not in a game. More like practice or something just for fun/just for the heck of it.

the only posts that should count are int he david carr thread. ;)

Well, i'm pretty happy with the practice squad. Can anyone enlighten me on just how a practice squad works as far as other teams drafting guys from our ps. I remember we got achimininobee echimanducakes from the Raiders ps last year... so i suppose it is possible for other teams to sign our ps players.
Do we as the Texans get a chance to match the offer to keep him on the ps or is it the case where any team can sign any player from any ps?

Any other useful info on how ps players are handled would be nice. Not too detailed. Just the basics.

i just realized you said Demeco as in me instead of the best MLB in the NFL. most people call me DR1 or DR.

but i never said he was bad.
im just saying Danny Woodhead FTW!!

and also i got a ban and for some reason my post count started over.

Kubiak send you down to he PS? haha jk;)

I didn't really follow Moffitt or hear his name called much during the preseason.

He was only in on 13 tackles against the Bucs on the last preseason game. He is from my Hometown and H.S. good kid he will pop up somewhere and get his chance. He is probably still in Houston and will be back on the team soon when Alibi or another LB gets hurt

I really like bringing him in, he was a stud at USF. At the very least, he'll turn into a Larry Izzo or Troy Evans type guy who excels in special teams

No need to get smart, but still. Kevis Coley had 15 or something close to that in the final game also. Where did that land him? Only on the PS.
