The Texans just announced that they have waived second-year tackle Brandon Frye (http://www.houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=4587), a second-year player out of Virginia Tech.
That's one Brandon who HAS been taken off the active roster today.

Thanks for the info. I know we have a blevy of tackles, but was this just a release or perhaps another move (maybe a signing) to come?

Interesting about Bell, SR 610 just said the Texans are NOT interested in Bell.

Hmm, supposedly we've already contacted Bell's agent, and kinda weird how they say we're not interested in Bell but Profootballtalk or whatever it was said we were "very" interested in Rudi Johnson, though yes I know they are completely different sources/stories. I dont know.

I saw that Keith from Indy was cut. Maybe that's what we are looking for. I also saw Poteet's name as available. He's a corner from the Jets and he is pretty good. Comes at a cheap rate.

All I can say is that the move did free up a roster spot. We now have 52 players on the roster, and the limit is 53.

I could say they would add Walker to the roster, but that is just me dreaming. :)

Kenton Keith showed a couple really good flashes last season when Addai was out a couple games. I wouldn't be upset to see him in a Texans uniform...he'd probably come cheaper than Tater Tot.

Keith would be the guy I would choose.
We will probably sign a RB after the 1st game.

Keith is another one of them running backs i like. I would approve of this if the Texans did the trade.

We already have a guy on the PS right now who has showed some brilliant flashes at RB too. just sayin.
yup and I say he will get another chance this season as long as Kubiak gives it to him.

Really? Who? The only back we have on the PS is Walker and he has never shown brilliance. He was pretty good in a few games, but I never saw brilliance.

Walker is exactly who. During the Bronco game last season he looked good. Especially when Rosenfels hung him out to dry on the screen pass.
Ofcourse we could always get the guy who steals peoples luggage.
There's no way we'd ever bring in Tatum Bellhop now. I'm not saying he'd be an answer either, but to call anything Walker did last "brilliance" is far from truth. Now what Adrian Peterson did last year was brilliance, Darius was just decent. He hit the hole with some pop, but he was playing on fresh legs at the end of the season when pretty much everyone else is dragging. I like Darius, not brilliant though.

yeah walker is ok. not an adrian peterson but how many of them come out of the draft each year, none sometimes maybe 1. the best back on our team right now is Green IF he can stay healthy, which he has yet to prove, second best is walker just cause he has played in the regular season for us. Slaton may be better but he'll have to prov it first.
I agree that 30 is the best we have if healthy, and for some reason, I truly believe that he will stay much healthier this year. I don't agree that Walker is the second best back we have. He was good at times last year and was a refreshing change from Dayne in terms of runnning the ball, but it was only 4 games (1/4 of a full season) and at times he was clueless in pass protection. I'm sure he's gotten better, but I still like Slaton and Taylor as the backups. If Smith, Kubiak and Gibbs felt that Darius was even the third best back on the team then he'd be on the active roster.

oh i agree with you, i mean they prolly see more potential in slaton and taylor, and so do i. i'm just saying as for as doing anything in the nfl walker is 2nd best on the team. now once the season starts that will all change i'm sure.
Yeah, somebody's going to end up going down and he'll get his shot. I hope he makes the most of it when he gets his name called
