I've been to games, but am new to tailgating... I know y'all have your favorite spots, but is there one area of the lot that is better / more fun / more catering to tailgaters?

The game against Indy will be my first time tailgating as well, we have a blue lot parking pass. My question to the tenured tailgaters is can you get into the lot before 8am and how long after the game can you stay in the lot bbq'n and drinking?

From what I read, the parking lot gates open 4 hours before kickoff... So I guess a noon kickoff translates to an 8AM gate time

Also, I don't know how long you can tailgate, but your area has to be cleaned up of any tents, chairs, banners, trash, etc., before you leave your car to enter the stadium.
There is a "Tailgating 101" how-to at Academy in Pearland off 288 tomorrow (Sat. 9/6) at 10AM... I'm sure the point is to sell you tailgating stuff, but there's more info there and some freebees...

Platinum opens 5hrs before the game. Wanna get started bright and early, have all your stuff set up and kicking back by 8am? Just head on over and visit the Blue Crew in the front left corner of Platinum. Our boys watch the blue lotters sitting in traffic, all while kicking back and sipping on their first cold one!!
