I've got my NFL London tix for the miami v giants game YAY!!!
I really can't wait for this, i've never been to an NFL game before so it'll be nice to finally make one, especially as it's at New Wembley and it will be my first chance to see anything there, so a massive double whammy for me.
This should be an excellent event even though i have my doubts as to what sort of game the giants and dolphins can throw up but hopefully i'll be proved wrong.
There is talk over here of a bright future for the sport, which is slowly becoming more and more popular, most people i live with watched their first superbowl last year and enjoyed it, and there is the likelyhood that we will see a game either every year or every other year at Wembley. Nick Halling (skysports) has even thrown in a comment that this may lead eventually to a London franchise of the NFL but that of course would be many many years away yet.

Sad thing is, last year's Super Bowl was actually one of the better ones in recent memory.
Man, were we all teased with the New England-Carolina Super Bowl, that one was great. And since that one was held at Reliant, I think the Texans need to bring up that point to the owners when deciding if Houston will get another Super Bowl. Just tell them that if you want a good SB, you better put it in Houston.
Well seeing as we are discussing the possibility of 17 game seasons so that we can have alot more games outside of the U.S.. I think that having at least one game per season..probably more.. is possible, even likely, for London.
I also think that if the games that are played there continue to be appreciated, and we start seeing a real desire by fans in London to see more of the NFL.. I think that the NFL would start a London franchise as soon as possible.
Once fans here accept that there will be one game per season outside of the united states, then they will hopefully also accept having a team from London in thier division.
I hope it works out..id love to have a bigger international presence.

Well I'm not sure of how the turn out will be in Europe, but I know that last year in Mexico City there were more than 100,000 in that stadium...and that was for a card vs niners game....imagine the possibilities if it were actual house hold names or even some great franchises playing. Over a 100k in one stadium....thats some revenue right there...

That is awesome Welsh Texan. I hope that the Texans eventually get to play in London. That is one game I want to go to. I have always wanted to see the country that had the good sense to send my ancestors across the sea.
I think that the Dolphins and Giants will put on a fine show. The Giants are always fun to watch. I am going to try to follow the BAFL some this year. Not sure how that league is doing but I am always excited to have a new team to support.

So I guess its not the time to not call us the National Football League anymore...we are now unofficially the World Football League. I think the NFL execs will change their minds when those brits get drunk and rowdy like they do at the soccer matches. Another question, since the dolphins are the home team will they be the London Dolphins for that one day?
