defense picked it up in the second half on run defense BUT the pass rush was missing all game, what angers me is the coaching staff never tries any blitz packages.

Steve Slaton had over 100 yards in the first half, I guess that's not a positive though? The defense kept us in the game, the whole game, but that's not a positive either? For many the only positive seems to be a W. I know that when it comes down to it, the W's are what its all about, but this is week 3, it's not like we just lost a playoff spot.

to me the reason for losing wasnt so much the titans, they gave us tons of opportunities in the second half to take the game, it was:

1) Playcalling. There was some terrible play selections on 3rd down that never had a chance against the titan defense setup.

2) Challenges. Twice the texans decided not to challenge calls that were wrong after looking at replay that gave points to the titans.

3) Matt. He is just too timid when put under pressure. What separates a good QB from an average one, is making plays with a 300lb bear in your face. He doesnt seem to have it.

4) Pass Rush. Where was it? No sacks and no pressure on Collins once.

5)The Red Zone. Getting there twice and going for it twice on 4th down and zero points?



The good things:

1) Slaton. What a beast! The guy is showing some serious moves. He made ppl miss, and he plain out ran over some people a few times.
2) Run defense. They really picked it up the second half and stopped giving them so many 8 and 9 yard carries.

What really surprises me is the playcalling. It is just outright bad!!! I'm not used to that after last season's creative calls. Maybe little Shanny is in over his head....and maybe Schaub and VY should get a group rate on a therapist....

I'm a fan of the TEXANS, but i'm pissed that the coaching staff aren't making the adjustments needed for this game. The play calling was terrible. And, I don't have trust in Schaub anymore after a game like this.

Make some adjustments! at least we lose trying!
