I still have heart problems watching the Texans, but after a couple days of listning to sp610 and looking at this GREAT message board, it would be really hard to give up on my boys after sticking up for them for 6 years. So thanks for all the put downs, i needed that. Moses is back and I apologize

Don't appologize, you don't need to. We are all hurt, deflated, crushed (choose your own word) after the loss to the Colts. Mark my words, the Texans will be a playoff team and it will happen very soon.

Good one. When is soon? Next year? The year after? After we get a real head coach?

Soon enough hater.

Soon enough for what? Kubiak to keep his job?

When is this "soon" you speak of? Im only asking because i think its not going to be soon due to lack of talent and bad coaching. But please enlighten me to when you think a sub .500 team is going to make a playoff run.

Are they changing the playoff format to allow last place teams soon?

You make me weary.

The Texans will find life late this season....next season playoff contenders after one or two key pickups in the offseason.......playoff spot again the next season and maybe a superbowl appearance. Bank on it.

So depending on what you are looking for, soon can mean.
Winning season (Might get that this season)
Playoffs (Next Season)
Superbowl (Hopefully the season after).

Is that soon enough? I bet we could win the Superbowl next season and you would still spew filth.

Listning to all the fans call in and the chatter on the Texans.

Go to the Texans Gridiron for the love of fellow fans! Come here to fight off the trolls and wanna-be fans.

Headsplit will honor your post count and then you would have 2 great places to post about the Texans.

put it to you this way ....

I am still hurt about this loss and the only way the Texans can cure it is to win the next few games or so. I suffered through the Bills vs Oilers loss and this just made my blood pressure go up. These past few weeks have been really stressful and hoping that the Texans winning would alleviate the stress. LOL nope....

oh well maybe I should take up badminton (sp??)

Dude you need to go bet all of your money on this series of events, you wil get great odds because its im-freaking-possible.

Im thinking more along the lines of....

Another sub .500 season (this year)
Yet another sub .500 season (Kubiak/smith hopefully move on)
New coach/GM (winning season)
2nd yr with a good coach (playoff berth)

The future is bright, just not "soon".

Eigther scenario is possible. Nothing we can do but sit and watch it unfold.

We haven't won a game this season and you're talking SB next season?
Us and the Lions maybe? I'd keep that one to myself if I were you.

The only question I have is why do you listen to 610 and not 1560?

Your right this season will be right around 6-8 wins.

But please tell me why you thing smith should move on? How many players with talent did this team have before kubiak and smith got here? Thats right we were the least talented team in the nfl. Now in two offseasons we have players like, Schaub, Walters, Owen daniels, Eric winston, Slaton, Sage, Duane brown, fred bennett, Demeco ryans, mario williams, amobi okoye. This is a huge level of improvement and Rick smith is regarded as one of the bright young GM's in the league.

Next year does have alot of promise b/c texans will finally have cap space after the casserly era and they can fully devote their attention to defense in the draft.

You're right, this team is so much more talented than the team he inherited. We have talent, more than we've ever had and he's to thank. We do need to see how this year's draft picks pan out i.e. Molden, Adibi, Okam, but he's done a good job.

That being said, this team still has holes that need to be filled. We are still weak at several positions on defense. We need more talent on that side of the ball, we need our rookies to develop and our vets to improve and stay healthy as well.

People had really high hopes for this year, including me, and maybe they were too high. I think we may have expected too much, but that doesn't excuse 0-4. People also fail to realize that the team is looking better each week and that we've played some pretty **** good teams so far.

Those additions have netted us excactly ZERO wins in 2008. Not saying they aren't good players, maybe it's the coaching.

Maybe it is, but it's not just one thing. It's probably a little coaching, a little mgmt/talent. I'm also sure that we've played some pretty freaking good teams so far, we've failed to make a few plays that could have changed where we stand right now from night to day.

No they haven't yet but were 1/4 of the way through the season and these last two games have been some of the best football i've seen the texans play.

As I remember, CC and Co finally got us to the point where we beat Indy. Since Kubs has been here...no wins.... WITH Mario.

Looking back, I think Kubs would have made a better OC and left the HC job to someone else that had a stonger management background. That's basically what the HC does, manages the offense and defense as well as the game

Thats not true! Don't you remember christmas when ron dayne ran or 150 yards and mario had a key sack to stop peytan.
