How long to the Texans hold a roster spot for X. Adibi? Its been 4 games, not counting the preseason, and the guy has rarely been able to practice or play. Why dont they put him on the IR and bring in some more LB help.

I'm not sure what that situation is, but linebacker is not really a top priority on the defense

When the season started it was an Achilles injury...lately it has been an illness and he has lost alot of weight because of it....

Because we're much weaker at SS, FS, CB, DT and DE. OLB is a hole too though, just not as much of one. We have much bigger fish to fry

I would put linebacker as the second biggiest need. All the great team have two playmaking linebackers and both greenwood and dile are below average players.

True they are below average, but having a solid d-line, especially one with a decent set of tackles, lets your LBs run a little more freely. Plus we are ridiculously weak at Safety and CB.
Regardless, there's nobody out there who's really going to be that much of an upgrade so the whole debate is meaningless

Diles did a great job in the Indy game.

I actually like Diles, but I think he could stand to be a bit more physical

Your right he played good, but that doesn't change the fact that he's still not very good at this point. He will get better which is why I don't see strongside as a huge problem but the will position needs a huge upgrade!

I don't care how talented or untalented our secondary is if we can not get consistent pressure on the QB it doesn't matter. So if bringing up a LB would help our pass rush than that is a Must. Since were on the subject can we bring up a new defensive coordinator?

I guess Adibi spot doesnt have to be taken by another LB, but with him almost never able to play that puts an added strain on ST and means that one or more of our starting LBs have to play ST. I think only Ryans hasnt. This increases the likely hood of injury to a starter. You'll notice that as the year has gone on our LBs turn up on the injury list more and more often (yesterdays included Ryans, Bentley and Adibi).
I'm not doubting Adibi's talent or value (eventhough we really dont know what he can do), but it seems unwise to have a fourth round pick, who cant get well enough to play, taking up a defensive roster spot on a team whose defense has struggled.

I liked him, until I saw him completely run INTO a block and let MJD completely take him out of the play on Garrards GW TD run against Jacksoffville. He needs to be smarter first. If he can't get smarter, it doesn't matter how physical he gets

Adibi is proving to be a liability right now. But I am sure the coaches and trainers are doing everything possibile to figure out what the heck is wrong with him. But there is no doubt that if hasn't played beyond the half way point of this season, Game 8, we will probably see him put on IR.

I'm sorry, but I am willing to wait.
