Welcome to the boards....My prediction is Dolphins control the ground and Texans take supremacy in the Air. Dolphins control the ball longer, but Texans outscore.
Texans - 31
Dolphins - 17

Houston has peen playing the run pretty well as of late, and the Phins really dont have any receivers that scare us....as long as Reeves can turn his head.

That is not what the stats say.
Game 1 @ Pittsburgh
183 yards rushing
3 Touchdowns
39 carries
That comes out to 4.6 YPC and two of those carries were for no gain with Leftwich. Bad performance by your defense when you give up that many rushing yards to a team that is ranked 20th in the league rushing the ball.
Game 2 @ Tennessee
158 yards rushing
2 TD
37 carries
That comes out to 4.2 YPC against the 13th ranked offense and while an improvement still nothing to brag about.
Game 3 @ Jacksonville
139 yards rushing
2 TD
25 carries
That comes out to a 5.5 YPC which is dreadful and the Jags have the 19th ranked rushing offense and are missing 3 starting offensive linemen.
Game 4 vs. Indianapolis
79 yards rushing
1 TD
22 carries
That comes out to 3.5 yards YPC against the worst rushing team in the league. They had to abandon the run because of falling behind. Can't say this is a good performance considering the Colts are the worst rushing team in the league.
How will the Texans fare when they have to face a team that is top 10 in rushing the ball and going up against a top 5 back in the NFL. My guess would be they will struggle to hold this team under 150 yards rushing come Sunday. But this is why they play the games.:)

The defense look horrible for the first 6 quarters of the season.
Since then they've picked it up.
They shut down Tenn the second half, and most of the Jags rushing yards came on a trick play against special teams and QB scrambles. Their running backs did nothing.
Indy was stoned walled most of the day, with a few decent runs after the Texans opened up a big lead and slacked off.

I'm surprised you all think you will score in the 30's?
You havent broke 30 points all year. What makes you think you will be able to break 30 points on our defense?
The defense is why we've won the past 2 games... not our offense.
I see it as a lower scoring closer game...
Miami - 21
Houston - 17

There are a few things that you havent factored in.
Against the Jags, the stats are inflated because we gave up one TD on that long 4th down run and one against the QB. Coaching error by not calling a TO in the 4TH down situation, and other than in the Wildcat, I dont see you guys QB scrambling like Garrard did.
How about I rephrase my statement....The Texans have been locking down apposing running backs as of late.

Havnt scored in the 30's does not mean we arent capable of scoring in the 30's. Which we will on sunday
we scored 27 against Jax and Indy, albeit only 12 against tacks, we blew 4 or 5 opportunities in the red zone
so saying were gonna score 30 isnt as far fetched as you may think....
fcator in hunger for our first win, starting qb playing his first home game, and just the bad taste from last week...makes me feel sorry for the fish.......well not really

You've played 2 good defenses, Pitt and Tenn, and scored 17 and 12pts.
I expect a similar offensive output. Our D has been very stout in the run game, and we've been getting a lot of pressure on the QB to help out our secondary.
However, if you are able to hit on a big play, we have one weakness... and thats Chris Crocker... the worst FS in the league. He started the 1st 2 weeks, and gave up HUGE plays in the passing game. A 60+ yard TD to Cotchery and a 70+ TD to Boldin. He was promptly benched. However, he still gets on the field.
If you can spot him on the field, and go after him, you can beat him deep. He should have got burnt for a 60+ yard TD against the Chargers, but luckily Rivers overthrew the WR.
Dont ask me why this guy even sees the field occasionally. I'm hoping that after another blown coverage, he wont see the field again. We cant afford for AJohnson to somehow get matched up on him...

LMFAO...great idea email the equitment guy.
Anyway, Houston has hung well with some good teams(Jags, Colts...SAGE cost that one). So, I do not see the Fish as a team as good as the Jags. So, I'll say:
Houston- 28
Fish- 17

Texans win...big.
0-4 teams don't overlook other teams no matter what the case. You know that's what happened against SD and NE, no doubt about it. SD just figured they could turn it on whenever they wanted and it wasn't that easy once Miami got some confidence. We will play well against one dimensional run teams this year (teams like Miami, ATL, MIN don't know wtf our problem is against TEN though). Matt is gonna hang it one em this week.
Final:
31-10 in overtime

Everyone on this board talks a bunch of trash before each game and we wind up wimpering back with our tail between our legs.
I'm not touching this one...
Hoping for the best though.

SINCE Schaub is starting we might have a QB that will play the whole game and not make idiotic decisions...... Miami has been impressive but this is our week........

We need this win. Texans win 24-17. Need to snap this funk while were still riding the "good aspects" from the last 2 games. If we lose, it is going to make it all the more difficult to win in my opinion over the next 3. Key game; lets go Texans!

I say Texans win this one. It can be a blowout game....
With A.Green and Slaton effectively running the ball our passing game will open. OD KW AJ AND AD Should have a great game today.
Texans come out on top by a large margin win.
I be the first to put Texans in the 40's -17 for the Texans win.
Yeah I said 40's
LETS GO TEXANS LETS GO
and please dont give me oh Texans have not won a game yet....... because Miami did not win any at all last season and this game will remind them of they team that they are really still the same just with the wild cat formation....
bleh .......
Like all McCain says.... "Lets look at the records" ..... :)
