ALL DAY

Can't wait for this weekend! I am hoping to go to the game as a portion of my family all lives in TX and are die hard Texans fans(They hate the Cowgirls). If I was not such a die hard Vikes fan The Texans honestly would be my team to root for. Anyways I am trying to get out of the commitment that i completly forgot about, so hopefully. Should be a decent game, you guys have a very solid team, and we are a team with some gig issues going on. The Williams Wall that may get suspended for some BS but it sounds like they will play this weekend. A coach that 99% of the Vikings fans want fired. And a offense that is struggling big time. HEre is to a good game, and hopefully no major injuries. And I can't wait to see AD run Wild on your Defense:D(Had to talk a little trash lol) If anyone is interested and I hope it ok to post a link but the site I normally visit is purplepride.org Check it out a very solid site and we love having conversations with fellow fans from the opposing team that week. I go by garland Greene over there so if you do stop by and take a look say hello! Good luck this weeken(But not much!)

great to have you here.. The first Texans game I saw was with Red Mccombs and the Texans lost in OT. I hope the Texans win this time. good luck this week.
Our Offense is one of the best in the league. However our Defense ( outside of Mario) is sucking up this year. Our O has to put up 30 to win. I am having nightmares about AP running all day (sorry no pun there) against our porous defense. Your defense is great, too bad the williams guys wont be suspended until after the game. Anyways welcome to the boards.

Welcome to our neck of the woods. Thanks for the moderate support. The Vikes look good too; this should be a nat'l telivised game - it's gonna be that good! Here's to a safe game!

Having been at Reliant the last 4 weeks, I'm looking forward to watching an away game on TV for a change. Also looking forward to the Texans playing a tougher opponent. You guys should be a good test for us.
I'll be in the Metrodome on Sunday. The only thing better than setting a personal record by attending an NFL game 5 weeks in a row is being able to do it 6 weeks in a row when we come back home for the Ravens. After that, I might be ready to watch one on tv for a change.

Man, and some people thought Kubiak is bad, wait till they get a load of Brad Childress.
Anyways, congrats on your all-pro running back, he was the guy I wanted the Texans to get in that draft.

Welcome to the Texans' site. Thanks for coming by...
At 3-4 apiece, this game is big for either side. I'm wondering how our defense will stack up against AP and the Vikings OL. I'm kind of confused as to your starting QB though - is Frerotte hurt?
Here's to a great game with no injuries. :)

Welcome to the boards....good luck Sunday. You guys defense is great so I hope we can put up some points. According to stats you guys havent been so great vs the pass....so, good luck stopping Andre Johnson (not really, I hope you guys have horrible luck stopping him.)
Gametime predictions:
Mario Williams:mad:...meet Gus Frerotte
Andre Johnson....time for you and the end zone to get reacquainted

Welcome garland GREEN!! Here's to a good game this weekend. I don't look forward to ur interior OL against our int. DL with AP running wild as much as the thought of Andre Johnson running rampant on ur secondary, but we'll see which one comes out on top (historically, the running game over the passing game). Good luck ur gonna need it b/c Mario and Demeco are gonna bring the pain.

To be perfectly honest guys, I may sound like a big time homer, (witch I am) but I'm not all that worried about AP going buck wild on us. No running back has gotten us since the end of the first half of the Titans game. Our defence is weaker against the pass, but Min. is a terrible passing team. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I would be much more worried if Tarvaris Jackson started, QB's with feet rip us up. I hope to see Gus Frerotte take a David Carr pose and hit the fetal position due to having the snott knocked out of him by Mario. Gus Frerotte has been sacked as many times as Schaub after all.
Baring mental break downs, and turnovers, this is a verry winable game for us, we match up against them well.

This is to garland GREEN:
I went to ur site u named and read the posts regarding houston, the texans, and the game and I find ur fellow vikings' web fans wanting in the respect and just plain decent etiquette department. U should go back there and inform them how to be gracious hosts.

I have prepared this statement
"ALL DAY and other Viking supporters
Thank you for your support. I wish your team much success, except for this coming game. While it will be great if this game was a super exciting match, if the Texans dominate for 60 minutes I will live with it.
Thank you once again for your excellent manners. And I hope in this coming off season, you team finally is able to secure the franchise QB you have been searching for in the draft. Consider a loss to the Texans not as death blow to your season, but the opening your team needs to land a great young QB high in the first round.
Much regards,
Texan Naija "
That is all.

That is all.
Needs more Sage Rosenfels.
In all honesty, if they ahd taken him he could have been their QB for the next few years. They felt better about the price tag attached to Gus though.
No comments about Helicopters, Sage is better than that. :)

Thats because the Texans have not played a good running team since Tenn. Rushing yards per game: Jville 14th, Miami 21st, Cin 30th, Det 31st, Indy 32nd. These next 2 games will tell a lot about this team. Are they a legit run stopper and shut down the running attack (Min 8th 128ypg, Bal 5th 142ypg), can they run against the top 2 run defense (Min 2nd 70 ypg, Bal 1st 64ypg) and can Matt Schaub and the offense continue the passing attack seen in the past 3 weeks.

You're absolutely right. This is a big time test. And a test on the road at that where we've been terrible under Kubiak.
Running is going to be extremely difficult, and the question I have is- can we move the ball through the air without the run game since so much of the success of our passing game is predicated on an effective running game.
8 and 80 are in synch right now and look like they know what each other are thinking so I'm thinking we should be able to move the ball against a less than stellar MIN secondary.

great point 3. Not to repeat for most part....but since we will most likely have to run off the pass, will our great play action over last few weeks retain its effectiveness.

I think we could possibly slow down the rush using WR screens, quick slants and shovel passes. These plays are ones that can keep the front 4 honest. As long as we don't get rattled early and have turnover problems I think we stand an excellent chance coming out of this game 4-4. Remember they beat the lions 12-10.
