While I know Mario will be the best draft pick that year, I don't think Charlie had much to do with it....

Bob just likes guys that sign without demanding the world up front... He's a "show me" kinda owner.... and Mario has...

He should expect a bigger payday when his current contract is up...

Bigger pay...? He's already one of the highest paid defensive ends in the country.

So if he plays like he has over the past 2 years for another 3 or 4, then he doesn't deserve more money?

And he is probably the best DE in the country.

I definitely think he is the best all around DE in the league. He is not the best pass rushing DE, neither is he the best run defender, but he is really good at both. He gets my vote.

If we don't go deep into the playoffs during the next 3 or 4 years but we should so Mario will be getting his pay day. Heck, I don't even think he is the sort that cares that much about the money, so once we start winning and maybe get him some help on the other side, he should be content that he would want to stay.

I don't think he'll want to go anywhere else, or that we'll really give him that shot. He's a guy that may be getting an extension pretty quickly.

The bottom line is he will get more money (even though his rookie contract is ridiculous) than his previous deal, regardless of where

Funny how he was Casserly's pick when he wasn't playing well, but now he's Kubiak's pick.

He was always Kubiak's pick. I remember many interviews immediately after draft when Kubiak stated this is my guy...We needed a premier DE to put pressure on Manning (not verbatim, but that's the jist)

Well people just wanted to blame Casserly and not look at the facts.

Not a Casserly fan but he made that pick like it are not.Everyone was putting blame on him right after the pick , but when Mario started doing good then Casserly had nothing to do with it.

As the story goes. Charlie wanted RB, but Kubes and Bob vetoed him and signed Mario. When it went down and people were pissed it was Charlie's fault. Now that it turned out better than the other options Charlie is getting his cred back, although had nothing to do with it, and so goes the life of an NFL GM.
