I'm not talking players, offensive or defensive philosophy, or coaching here.
What we need is some good ol' fashioned NASTINESS. When your QB goes down because of a questionable hit on one play, then the person responsible needs to be dealt with on the very next play. If you show that you will protect your teammates then things like this won't happen.
When the defense takes the field the opposing offense needs to fear an entire game of hell. One inch of ground should be protected with absolute ferosity. Let's take Baltimore or Pittsburg for example. Those defenses are flying around like rabid dogs. They do have games where they may give up a few points but 90% of the time just getting a 1st down is worth celebrating. Attack, attack, attack!!
All too often we play on our heels and are too soft.
Let's get a little Psycho and blow somebody up on the field and put some fear in the opponents for a change.
I know that last year when Travis Johnson was ripped for screaming at an unconcious Trent Green I agreed that it was over the line a little. But if we play with that same nastiness then we will be a feared defense.
