Coach,
You came into a program that could not get much lower. You were an immediate improvement over the last HC. I believe you have made some great moves in getting the right players for this team and getting them into the Depth Chart, although sometimes it takes you a while to see the light (Ex. Starting Green over Slaton). With all of this behind you lets move to today. You have not had a good season so far, your fans are on the verge of jumping ship like I have never seen before (which could cost the franchise money). I would say Richard Smith will go before you do but, I would say you will be next if things don't shape up. This may seem brutal but it is the truth as I see it. You have all the talent in the world and you can not get it done. Your players lay down in the 4th quarter after coming out of the gate strong. The team has played to their potential on a few occasions and looked like the team that they should be. You have been unable to harness that emotion and level of play and have to take part of the blame. As the season ends we hope you the best and pray for you to turn it around before the owner gives up on you as a lot of the fans have. I have not, and will be looking at you coming out of the tunnel this weekend in Cleveland telling you to "Get it Done". Prove everyone wrong and turn it around next year starting this weekend. We are still behind you. I want to see you light a fire under these guys, we currently have no emotion or finish.
See you this weekend Coach
P.S. Take this guys advice and see if it helps, we aren't going to the playoff anyway so take a chance now and see if it works.

This is What We Need I'm not talking players, offensive or defensive philosophy, or coaching here.
What we need is some good ol' fashioned NASTINESS. When your QB goes down because of a questionable hit on one play, then the person responsible needs to be dealt with on the very next play. If you show that you will protect your teammates then things like this won't happen.
When the defense takes the field the opposing offense needs to fear an entire game of hell. One inch of ground should be protected with absolute ferosity. Let's take Baltimore or Pittsburg for example. Those defenses are flying around like rabid dogs. They do have games where they may give up a few points but 90% of the time just getting a 1st down is worth celebrating. Attack, attack, attack!!
All too often we play on our heels and are too soft.
Let's get a little Psycho and blow somebody up on the field and put some fear in the opponents for a change.
I know that last year when Travis Johnson was ripped for screaming at an unconcious Trent Green I agreed that it was over the line a little. But if we play with that same nastiness then we will be a feared defense.
