  • 26 players confirmed to attend nfl draft

I feel sorry if those kids are there all day and they don't hear their name in the first round. Why so many this year?.

  • #2
yeah i didn't get that either. Who makes these decisions? So they feel they are that good at their own mock, that they know those 26 kids are going in the 1st round? I feel like there are going to be a good number of kids that's going to wait til the next day.

Radio city hall is a lot different now then prior drafts. since the famous Aaron Rodgers fall. And new Commish Goodell, they NFL sends out a lot of invites to a bunch of players who are either either a high grade prospect or obtain to some type of story.

        Like Mark Herzlich.

Or they will have a camera to follow that player. Like Tim tebow

So ya, they mix it up now. Various players with various grades however most will be day 1 picks.

They do that to save embarrassment for a team university or player.

wow, you could make the argument that a lot of those players could potentially fall in the 2nd round.

I wonder why this guy wasn't the 27th guy on the list that just missed the invite.

Highest rated TE in a weak TE class. Someone had to represent them.

Lol are you saying he sucks? It's not his fault some of them aren't as highly touted.

Oh. Okay. Well I wonder where the representative for FB is...or Guard for that matter. Too bad that couldn't find representatives for them.

A guard was invited. Cordy Glenn may be listed as a tackle in that entry but he will be playing on the interior at guard in the NFL. Even at that, David DeCastro is the best guard but he opted to be at home with family and friends just like Riley Reiff and Luke Kuechly. Fleener is the best tight end and he is very deserving of that billing but at the end day he's probably off that invite list with the likes of Randle and McClellin. Stephen Hill presents a "rags to riches" type story due to his initial Day 3 Advisory grade and his immense rise to 1st round consideration. You can make the same argument for Fleener because most scouting contingents had him as the #3 prospect behind the likes of Clemson's Dwayne Allen and Georgia's Orson Charles before the evaluation process began.

So to address your argument, they did find a guard prospect who graciously declined so the heir apparent in Cordy Glenn is listed as a tackle when we all know he'll be a guard at the next level.

Roger that. Are one of those Tackles supposed to play Center too? Point is these are the guys that are probably going to go in the first round...Except for Randle probably...not just the best player at their position...
