Eh, we really don't deserve love and nor should we care but I did see where Vegas has us as fourth or fifth best odds to win the AFC so there's that

No doubt this writer could pick out about 28 teams other teams and make the same case, not worth reading

If you're not following the Astros, you are doing Houston sports wrong.

The Texans have a tough season ahead but the only question in most fans minds is offense. Even if our defense struggles this season we will be better than all but a few select teams. Offense is always the question. I'm a fan so I have a bias in my thinking but we have played more B rated QB's some preforming above themselves and some not. This season we start with 3 solid QB's and a hopefully focused Offensive coordinator/head-coach. I'm on the West coast and the sports news here always trashes the Texans (since David Carr left). Fake Sports News.........play football and the Texans will decide the issue. I love this team win or lose.......but winning is what we are built to do.

If the only question in most fans' minds is the offense then they are simply taking the defense for granted without merit. Things change from year to year and I won't be surprised if fans are asking "what happened to our defense?" by mid season. Also, I hardly believe that we have "3 solid QB's". It isn't illogical to make the case that it could be a challenging season, but I am hopeful, especially if Watson starts at QB.

Valid points, but while some have tried to stir the pot with articles about Watson starting. Most respected media reports say that he will be #3 and might play if it's a blowout. Others say that he will play only after 6+ games on the bench. We shall see what is true and what is not.

Isn't that the same bunch that picked Jacksonville to win the South last season? I think their credibility is suspect to say the least.

They are QB centric to say the least. But they fail to explain how a team can win their division withe the worst QB play. That isn't supposed to happen. But they are still in denial that teams win, not just QBs.

Not only that we won with a negative point differential which hasn't been done in a long time. We had a minus 49 last year. Not too shabby. lol

Here is the stats i could find on negative point differential. These are teams with a winning record, but a minus point differential.

Teams with a worse than our PD last year: None won their division. We set records that might never be broken! WOOHOO We are the only division winners who had a -49 or worse. Right on. Go Texans! My other favorite stat is the David Carr - minus 50 yards passing and we won against the Raiders lol That's got to be a record too.

1962 Pittsburgh Steelers 9-5-0 difference -51 -2nd place in division
                    1978 Atlanta Falcons 9-7-0 difference -50 - 2nd place in division

                    1989 Pittsburgh Steelers 9-7-0 difference -61 - 2nd place in division
                    1992 Indianapolis Colts 9-7-0 difference -86 - 3rd place in division
                    1998 Arizona Cardinals 9-7-0 difference -53 - 2nd place in the division

Thanks guys. I think teams have won their division with a negative point differential but not as high as -49. Since 1938 there were only 7 teams on that list that had a worse PD with a winning record. Our offense with Brock was bad. Just getting rid of him will make this team/offense better.
