I just saw that. I agree. We would've been great depth had we needed him.

Last spot belongs to LB LaTroy Lewis. He chose us over returning to Oakland. I don't know much about him though.

                  Interesting...

There it is. Rather than accept invite onto Raiders' practice squad. LB LaTroy Lewis joins the Texans' practice squad.Michael Gehlken added,

LB LaTroy Lewis had impressive preseason for Raiders (three sacks, fumble recovery for TD). Other teams noticed. Not expected back on PS.

Those hoping LaTroy Lewis ends up back with the Raiders will likely be disappointed. Expected, though not final, to sign with another club.

Texans cut WR Riley McCarron, sign WR Cobi Hamilton

                      By Aaron Wilson
The Texans cut rookie wide receiver Riley McCarron from the practice squad Monday with the addition of former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Cobi Hamilton

McCarron had been nicknamed "The Iowa Flash," by coach Bill O'Brien.

McCarron caught 42 passes for 517 yards and four touchdowns in his final season at Iowa and was named honorable-mention All-Big Ten. The 5-foot-9, 185-pounder was a four-time academic All-Big Ten selection who doubled as a kick returner who returned a punt for a touchdown against Illinois.

A state champion in the 100 meters in high school, McCarron ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds and registered a 40 1/2 inch vertical leap at the Hawkeyes' Pro Day after not being invited to the NFL scouting combine.

Hamilton agreed to terms on Friday following a successful tryout.

                      Hamilton played collegiately at Arkansas.

He's a former Cincinnati Bengals sixth-round draft pick. He's also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins and Carolina Panthers.

Hamilton caught 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns last season in 11 games with eight starts for the Steelers.

A native of Texarkana, Texas, Hamilton was an All-Southeastern Conference selection at Arkansas as a senior when he caught 90 passes for 1,335 yards and five touchdowns.

McCarron was a favorite of some on coaching staff.

                      Watch Belichick nab him.
