Jimmy G must wait unti RD1 of the 2017 NFL Draft to find out if has really received a "stay of trade". The Browns may decide they cannot live without him.

According to sources even if the Browns offer pick 1, NE won't consider trading Jimmy. And you know how NE would use that pick for trades and end up with 3+ picks in the top 3 rounds. It is being said that they are keeping him as insurance that incase Brady is hurt, declining or anything next season. They have a QB that they have seen enough to trust to run the offense 3/4ths as good as Brady. And if Brady calls it a career after the season they have the heir or a solid place holder till they find the heir. Talk of extension of his current contract or tagging him next season are rumors for now that might not be rumors after 2017.

Jimmy is going nowhere till after this season if then.
