JCTexan and the Denver Broncos are now on the clock.

If Kansas City doesn't get him Buffalo will for sure. He won't be there for us. Good pick with San Fran. Singletary already said Hill would not be the QB next year so they have to take the QB that Detroit leaves them.

With the 8th pick in the 2009 nfl draft...

The Jacksonville Jaguars select B.J. Raji DT Boston College
im not sure if i agree with this pick. they do need a DT but this isnt there biggest need. OT, ILB, and saftey are all bigger needs in my books. check out this info one website had on the Jags o-line and Garrard.

"He was knocked down more than any other quarterback this season. And according to the sacks totals allowed by NFL left tackles, Khalif Barnes was one of the league's worst, surrendering 7.5 sacks.

Jacksonville must take care of its franchise quarterback. The team desperately needs to upgrade Garrard's blind side. Jason Smith, Mike Mayock's No. 1 offensive tackle, makes too much sense at this spot."

Also, with mike peterson and DelRio not the happy couple thet once were they could go ILB and pick maualuga or laurenitus (sp).

Well with Raji, Jenkins & Orakpo gone & biggest need possibly the BPA

With the 12th pick in the 2009 NFL draft...

The Denver Broncos Select...

Rey Maualuga, MLB, USC

Maualuga is possibly the best player available here & one of the Broncos biggest needs. With the Broncos going to the 3-4 DT & LB are probably going to get drafted early by them, but with Raji being gone the LB from USC is the best pick here.

with D.J williams and mauluga roaming and maybe converting jarvis moss to rush OLB they might have a sick linebacking corp.

I know what you mean but there weren't really any OT's available that I thought were worth the #8 pick. I agree ILB is a position of need as well as WR so I took my highest rated player left from those positions. Maualuga worries me too much with his weight issues. I believe he weighed in over 260 lbs. either at the Senior Bowl or just before it. He has been known to walk around at 270 in the offseason. The Jags need to put more pressure on the QB anyways, they weren't that scary last season.

I hope the real draft doesn't go like this for the Texans, the top 5 defensive players are all gone, the top 3 OT's are gone, and the top QB's are gone. Hopefully someone falls in the draft and we can then pick a good player or trade down. If the real draft goes like this one then we may have to reach on someone or take a bad value trade down.
