Detroit has a lot of needs I think they need help on DL, S, and OL here since they already addressed the QB and CB positions.

So with the 1st pick in the 2nd round of the 2009 draft the Detroit Lions select DE - Michael Johnson - Georgia Tech, with his 6-7 frame and 4.6 speed he seemed like a rare find, he has Mario's height but is light at 258 pounds but I think Gunter can get some weight on him and make him a beast.

HuttoKarl is on the clock...

I hope we end up with this second round pick and could get this guy and Cushing in the 1st, by trading back from 15 to 20 with Detroit we could maybe get there 2nd and 3rd for our 2nd and 4th

The KC Chiefs have needs going into the draft on the Defensive Line, the LB crew, and the Offensive line.

Having satisfied the DE/OLB need in the first by "reaching" for a studly pass rusher, I feel the crew in KC would be wonderfully served by keeping their QB upright...SOOOOO

The KC Chiefs select Eben Britton OT Arizona. He's got good size and has been projected by some sites as a first rounder. He could stand to put on some weight, but should be able to do so relatively easily. If not, he can have some of my excess weight.

STL is on the clock.

Saint Louie has plenty of needs.

They could use help at DL, OL, DB, LB and even perhaps a backup QB because Bulger is OLD!!!

Having taken Oher in the first round, we can knock that need off the list momentarily.

There are a couple of nice prospects remaining. STL would have loved Michael Johnson to last a couple more picks, but alas, it wasn't meant to be. Since the Rams are historically crappy vs. the pass, we're going with:

Alphonso Smith CB Wake Forest

He has the potential to be as good as any receiver in this draft IMO.

JCT how do you think Sean Smith would fit on the Texans after a trade down or in the 2nd RD?

I like his versatility. He actually went to Utah as a RB then he moved to WR. 15th might be a little high for him, but I would be ok with picking him if we traded back or in the second round. I have five DBs ranked ahead of him, mainly because I don't know too much about Smith.

The the 36th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select...

CB Mike Mickens, Cincinnati.

The Browns need serious DB help, and especially at 2nd CB.

With the 37th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks select:

Evander Hood, DT, Missouri

Some people have Ron Brace rated higher, but his size and lack of penetrating ability make him best suited for a 3-4 nose tackle. Hood is athletic and fills a big need for the 'Hawks 4-3 defense. Running back was also a possibility here, but with the talent already on the roster at that position, I think a 3rd round RB will suffice.
