They can keep their team and history. We have a new team and we're making our own history.

Bud Adams was greedy. He held us hostage by dangling the team in front of Jacksonville before he made us rip out the astrodome scoreboard and build the luxury boxes.. which we're still paying for.

Then he had the audacity to ask for more. After all his team put the fans through over the years. The Oilers even had a few games up in TN while Bud was testing the waters, looking for a new venue. Remember Jerry Glanville leaving tickets for Elvis? Then crying he wants a new stadium, when he couldn't even sell out the old one. Making us go through the rebuilding while promising TN an already established, rebuilt contender. They robbed us of a super bowl appearance, without having to wait the years neccessary to become a contender. Maybe fate was smiling on us when they came up that half yard short. I know I was.

To top it off, you still have a city where a contigent of fans continue to cling to them and like them more than the new team even while they suck with a 1-6 record.

Yeah, those years without a home team sucked, but after going through what we've gone through, and seeing what has happened with the Oilers, I'd do it all over again, no regrets at all.

I'd take what I have right now over having them here any day, even if we were 0-16 and they won the super bowl every year.

Buck Fud Adams. Those brokeazzed Tennesseans aren't going to support a loser for long, he'll be checkin out new venues again. They might be the team that moves to LA or Mexico City.

Funny, one of the things in the NFL that bothers me is the recycling of names. Titans of New York=N.Y. Jets recycled name becomes Old Oilers, now Titans, Texans=K.C. Chiefs, recycled name now is Houston Texans, but I love our logo and the name has grown on me. A lot of people wanted us named the Apollos. I thought that just didn't fit football. *L*

Can anyone think if there are anymore recycled names? I think the Cardinal originally started in Chicago, before moving to St. Louis and then to Arizona, but not sure.
