Default CC Brown

I am hoping for big things this year from CC Brown.
The interview of Ahman Green on the 2nd day of the OTAs where he said:
"All the young guys; even the guys that are starters that are young—(DE) Mario (Williams), (S) C.C. (Brown) in the defensive backfield—those guys, you can tell that they’re hungry. (WR) Andre (Johnson), all of those guys. They want to get better. They want to stop being the pushover in the AFC South.”
I would like nothing more to see CC Brown become a star free safety. I remember watching him last year come out of nowhere playing strong safety and he was seemingly everywhere making plays. He did let me down once moved to free safety (the Buffalo game and Lee Evans sticks in my head), but I hope that was more of a learning curve than a lack of ability to play the postion.
Having an all pro like Ahman Green notice CC and call him out says to me that he may be special.

It would be nice as we have never had a star free safety....unless you count Matt Stevens (obvious sarcasam)

it's too bad that casserly could never properly draft talent to foster behind glenn and coleman. Let's hope this kid proves Casserly right though the track record for doing that is pretty grim.

CC started every game but one (late in the season) at FS last season. Earl was the SS.

Could he be thinking of 2 years ago? Didn't CC start out at SS his rookie season and then quickly move to FS after Coleman bombed out on us (or whatever he did to get removed from the startin lineup)?

You are right, I was mixing the two seasons together. Thought CC made a lot of plays his rookie year in '05 but last year I mainly noticed him when he was getting burnt.
Does anyone know how fast CC runs?

I honestly can only remember one great play by CC. I'm hoping for him to get better this year. I think I remember seeing a 40 time somewhere around 4.45.

Ah, Coleman. I'm trying to remember what exactly he got ditched for. Missing team meetings or something.

Don't worry guys, we are going to have a star-caliber FS sooner than later. His name is Brondon Harrisson. This guy will get PT later in the year & be our starting FS next year. Diamond-in-the-ruff is exactly what Kubes & Smith think of this guy & I'm no psychic, but this guy is going to make a name for hisself at the FS position.

Really? That's interesting b/c everything I've heard about him has implyed he's more of a SS (which we already have 2 of) that could possibly convert well to LB. I really hope you're right though b/c FS was one of the positions I thought we really needed to adress in the draft and feel we didn't. I trust Kubes & Co. made the right calls though. We'll just have to wait and see...(man I'm tired of having to say that)

ditto....everything i've heard indicates he's better suited at SS also even though he can play FS. Seems like we already have a few of those types on our roster. I also hope you're right but if you have some actual inside info about his FS skills I'd like to hear it so I can sleep better at night
