Default Rex Hadnot back to Houston?

Texans are interested in getting Rex Hadnot, a guard for the Dolphins, in to play be the backup center. What do you think?

After reading the article I don't think Hadnot is being looked at as a backup. Hadnot started every game the last 3 years at G for Miami. I think if signed he will be given the chance to start.

This signing would not be good for Eslinger. If they felt he was starting caliber they wouldn't be going after Rex. Alot of teams are after him and he's going to want much more then backup money.

I've been saying we should bring him back to Houston...I think he's a solid starter at guards opposite of Chester. We don't know how Weary is going to be after his injury. Hadnot can play any interior lineman spot.

I don't feel right about a guy that was one of the members of an offensive line that gave up quite a few sacks. I just don't know much about that dude.

I'm actually talking about Miami's OL. I am hoping this guy would be solid if Gibbs has anything to do with it though.

So, does anyone know if McKinney is not an ideal fit for Gibbs' system? Or is it just that the Texans don't count on him to stay healthy? (good move)

Because I think McKinney makes way too much money to be a backup... yet I remember that he was doing a great job last year before he got hurt... so I assume this move is insurance in case he gets hurt? In other words, if they sign him, McKinney would still be the starting C, but Hadnot would start elsewhere on the line and slide to C when McKinney inevitably gets injured. What do you guys think?

McKinney is a quality player. If he is only a backup, it means the Texans are getting some depth and will be making a little noise next year.
