NOTE: This thread has been closed. We printed out all of your comments and FedExed them to Harry along with some other materials from the team, so he should receive them at his hospital in Dallas shortly. Thank you for all of your heartfelt words of encouragement. We'll continue to give updates on Harry's condition as they arrive.
------- Please leave your thoughts, prayers and best wishes here for Texans wide receiver Harry Williams. Once he returns to Houston, I'll print out all of your comments and deliver them to him. It may be helpful if you sign using your first name and where you're from. Williams suffered a fracture of the C3 vertebra in a collision on special teams and underwent surgery in Dallas this past weekend to stabilize his spine. He was paralyzed from the neck down on the field after the collision, but soon regained feeling throughout his arms and legs. His family is with him in Dallas as he heals from the surgery. We all wish him the best in his recovery. UPDATE (Tuesday, Aug. 26): Williams is recovering in a Dallas hospital after undergoing surgery. Initial reports indicate that Williams eventually will walk again, but doctors think it is unlikely that he ever will return to football. UPDATE (Friday, Aug. 29): Williams told Houston TV station KRIV on Thursday that he walked by himself at Presbyterian Hopsital in Dallas for the first since him injury took place. Thanks, NS |

Harry, you are in all of our thoughts and prayers, and here's to your fast and complete recovery. I and all Texans fans appreciate your hard work, it has not gone un-noticed, and not having you on the field is a loss. I want to thank you for the blood, sweat, and tears.

Harry, you were an inspirational player. You played the game the way it should be played. You played with that aggressiveness, hard fought instinct. You always went full speed and never quit. Your someone the other players looked to. Us here, especially in the Texans family, couldn't thank you enough for what you've done as a player and person. Here is to a full and healthy recovery and I hope you get well soon. God Bless you and your family.
